The Grand Oasis Cancun - All Inclusive
4/10 Poor
"The rooms were nice. The only thing I have to complain about is that a hat was stolen from inside my room by staff I’m guessing and it was never returned or refunded. Which is very upsetting because the amenities were nice. For my first time being in Cancun I would give it a 3 out of 5 stars, staff was some what rude if though I spoke the same language as them fluently, other than that. Descent location. Descent food. Beds were also descent. "
Excellence Riviera Cancun - Adults Only All Inclusive
8/10 Good
"Pros: Staff, layout, restaurant availability, small but intimate, an effort with activities, gym, tennis and pickle ball with bikes available. Property is kept up with, bars, beach cabanas and shows, rooms are huge.
Cons: the beach is not clear, cannot snorkel, the spa services are extremely overpriced, gf saw bar staff pouring bottle water in an alcohol bottle, some portions for dinners are small, food at steak house and spice hibachi grill was poor. Wish they had later activities, the night ends at 11-12 leaving much to desire for night time fun "
"Reservations were very hard to make. You have to wake up at 6:30am and go stand in line to possibly get a reservation. Other than that well worth the money and a beautiful resort!"
"Mexicans don’t appreciate tips anymore the bus driver made a nasty comment after I gave what I thought was a reasonable tip as if picking up a suite case should be met with $100 or something (nothing to do with hotel stay just a side note) the “trip guy” aka hotel assistant adventure booking stole a 9% tip on top of charging us 2x more to book the same thing we coulda booked on our own… we paid over $300 for something that cost $100 (based off prices posted at the place) and honestly it felt like a joke the zip line was 100ft or less took 1 hr to wait in lines then got like 25-30 seconds of zipping. The rest of the activity’s sucked too. All around avoid the “travel” guy stay at the hotel and don’t pay for any activities their overcrowded and lame."
