This is my second time at this WONDERFUL hotel and I couldnt have been more please. They have the most unique 2 penthouses in Prague, 2 rooms surround on three sides with glass windows and large terrace with glorious views of the entire city. Penthouse West is slightly better with glorious views of the Prague Castle & Petrin Hill & all of the city for miles out. Penthouse was so spacious, and really appreicate the large modern bathroom and separate toilet room with its own sink and mirror!! ...

Nice clean hotel and the bathrooms are pretty cool, cut into the side of the hill. Three sides of the bathroom are slate. The 1 bedroom apartment is very spacious. It has a bedroom, sitting room and bathroom with jacuzzi and shower on one side. The other side has a small kitchen/living room and another full bathroom. Always amazing and never disappoints. 2 families, 3 rooms & dog. The location is the best in a quiet part of Karlovy Vary yet close to everything. The staff is professional. We came at the beginning of the season so it was still pretty mellow and definitely not at full capacity. Utilizing the pool & spa and having 4 massages booked. 3 great 1 just ok ( apparently the therapist left the room 3x during the 90 minute massage) not sure why . Great hotel and an even better staff working there. Comfortable, clean and always smiling staff members to greet you. They even made a breakfast bag for an early morning flight.

Good place, nice location

Everything was wonderful with the exception of interactions with 2 staff members. The first was the “bar tender” in the restaurant upon my arrival, he was extremely rude but Michel was very helpful and pleasant. The second was the woman at the reservation desk- short bob hair cut- was rude as well at all interactions I had. Great return stay in my home-from-home in Prague. Having missed my annual visit in 2020 due to Covid, I was really looking forward to revisiting old haunts and favourite spots and Hotel Josef never disappoints! Wonderful staff who are always ready to help in any way and their thoughtful welcome note and complimentary bottle of wine was a particularly nice touch. Diky moc!

Great hotel rooms and breakfast was outstanding. A little out of the way from center city, but the tram gets you there in less than 8 minutes.
