This historic inn in the South Jutland region of Denmark is a real gem with delightful, friendly staff who make guests welcome right from the moment they arrive. It apparently is not frequented by very many North Americans and, but for the fact my wife and I have family in the area, we would not have discovered it. It is a wonderful place to stay - for whatever reason you are visiting the area - and I can't speak highly enough of the fantastic staff who took care of us at the inn, including both...

We found Al's Kloster quiet and peaceful. This beautiful bed and breakfast is just outside of Sonderborg (5-10 min), so you do need transportation... but, once you get here it is well worth it! It sits in a beautiful setting and there are trails, right from your door, that you can take down to the water and beyond, along the coast. The rooms are all different. They are clean and best of all the beds are good... European style with a down quilt as a blanket. Enjoy!

I had the pleasure of staying two weeks at the Hotel Strand. The staff was wonderful, the location was very convenient, and the breakfast was so good. I will always here when visiting Sonderberg.

Great little hotel in the best location. But the best part was the people were so amazing and helpful!

The apartment we stayed in was very nice, beautiful view and cozy. The only thing, I did not like was that the couch blankets ware not freshly washed and there were no washing detergent for the dishwasher or washer some sample packs would have been nice as we had to go to the store just to buy an entire package
