"I loved my stay at La Selva and ended up extended it by an extra day. You feel fully immersed in wildlife and free to explore. A memorable moment was being on the hanging bridge in the dark with bats flying everywhere, my torch picked out the eyes of a caiman in the river and a great potoo flew overheard and along the river. Breathtaking! "

Do you think you would post the next day "5 stars, highly recommend" or would you spend some time trying to gather your thoughts and tell people just how wonderful it was? Well, maybe Los Gallitos & Eco Lodge is just short of heaven because I found myself praying to the Lord that He make my heaven similar to my experience there. The views are amazing and the sounds are sweet to your ears. A chorus of birds will sing you to sleep in this tiny paradise. Does this sound unbelievable? Don't take my word for it, stay here and experience it yourself. Just don't turn this place in the hottest tourist attraction in Costa Rica, because I plan on going back again! On top of the views, the sounds, and the comfort, Jorge and his family were AMAZING. If you have ever watched the Hallmark Channel you have seen those perfect families and wondered do they really exist. I am here to say they do. I just hope they realize how blessed they are. They are the family I never had and wished I did. I may just have to return to my new home away from home around the holidays :)"

"This is a charming resort. Please don’t expect five star luxury but the facilities are very nice and the team extremely friendly. They cater for larger groups but that was not a problem. The area has some wonderful walks and wildlife - although unfortunately we did not see any sloths. "
