Gothic Quarter
Discover the historic heart of Barcelona in this labyrinthine quarter, featuring medieval landmarks, the remains of Roman walls, and the Barcelona Cathedral. Easily accessible via L4 Jaume I and L3 Liceu and Drassanes stations.

Eixample
Characterized by long straight streets and a grid pattern, Eixample boasts iconic sights like Casa Milà, Casa Batlló, and Sagrada Família. The area is easily navigable, with wide avenues and chamfered corners.

El Raval
El Raval packs a cultural punch with its multicultural food scene and artistic heart. The striking white MACBA contemporary art museum anchors the neighborhood, while medieval streets hide Gaudí's Palau Güell and Gothic courtyards of the ancient Hospital de la Santa Creu. Authentic Pakistani, Moroccan, and Latin American restaurants sit alongside traditional Catalan bars and trendy fusion spots. Boutique hotels in historic buildings and modern hostels offer comfortable bases. Three metro stations connect you easily to Barcelona's beaches and major sights, making El Raval both an authentic neighborhood experience and a perfect jumping-off point.

Barcelona and related destinations
Between the Gothic Quarter's labyrinthine streets and Gaudí's fantastical architecture, this city feels like walking through someone's magnificent dream. La Sagrada Familia's soaring spires continue their century-long construction while Park Güell's mosaic benches offer the city's best views. La Rambla pulses with street performers and flower stalls leading to the Mediterranean, where Barceloneta Beach fills with sunbathers and impromptu volleyball matches. The Maritime Museum occupies medieval shipyards worth visiting even if boats aren't your passion. For the perfect evening, join locals in the ritual of tapas hopping through El Born's narrow streets, where tiny bars serve patatas bravas and vermouth with equal reverence.

Moxy Barcelona
"Great hotel, and very convenient to Barcelona Sants train station! Moxie Barcelona is such a cool place to stay. We arrived exhausted from a transatlantic flight and metro journey from the airport and found a comfortable, welcoming, modern nest to relax in. The small rooftop pool was delightful and especially refreshing as the weather was blistering hot during our visit. The beds were very comfortable and, though somewhat compact, the rooms are smartly laid out and the beds very comfortable. We also appreciated the nice bathroom and balcony. We greatly enjoyed the food—both the breakfast buffet, which is not to be missed—and the rooftop restaurant, which was very chic, with delicious food. Make sure that you get a glass of sangria for your welcome drink at the 3rd floor bar, because you won’t regret it! As with many excellent spots, Moxie is very popular, and I found it a fair value for the price. The only downside of it being so popular was the crowdedness in the lobby with so many other folks trying to get onto the elevator. There was also some minor confusion when I needed a luggage cart and was misdirected. That was a minor inconvenience but slightly stressful as we were headed back to the airport. Overall absolutely loved staying at Moxie and hope to come back soon!"

"Great location close to Gothic Qtr. Thier is a transit train entrance just down the street to take you all over the city!"
Rialto
"Clean room"
Lamaro Hotel Barcelona 5★ | Preferred Hotels & Resorts | Lifestyle Collection
"The hotel was in Omonia square with a large water feature and the metro was right by the hotel. It had a roof top bar with a great view of the Acropolis. A 15 minute walk to the heart of shopping district. Hotel was retro and very clean."
Grand Hyatt Barcelona
"The hotel and staff were absolutely amazing. I loved our room. It was very clean very modern and I was very happy overall with the stay. The one thing that could have improved was the rooms were a little hot at night. The AC did not seem to cool the rooms as well at night. I was told this was because of EU regulations."
Barceló Sants
"Great hotel at the train station. It is space themed and was fun. The location is perfect, middle of town, metro lines and the train station. Tons of food options nearby. I would definitely recommend and return."
Hotel Nouvel
"Property was very close to La Ramblas for exploring Barcelona."
InterContinental Barcelona by IHG
"The hotel room, gym, and overall amenities were very nice. However, there were a few things that I found disappointing considering the price we paid. The breakfast buffet had a very limited selection of meat options. There were more than 30 types of pork, ham, and similar products, but there was not a single proper chicken option. There was only one type of chicken sausage, which felt insufficient for a hotel of this standard. The smoked salmon was also quite low in quality and was frequently unavailable, with the plate often left empty for long periods. Water only two 300ml bottles and not replaced. Another issue was the housekeeping service. I found the cleaning staff quite unresponsive when it came to replacing the soap bar in the room. I contacted the hotel by phone on multiple occasions and also submitted a request, but they never replied. For a hotel of this level, I expected much better attention to basic guest requests."
Hotel 1898
"We stayed at Hotel 1898 twenty years ago! Had to come back and it was as wonderful as we remembered! Great location, friendly staff, great food and wine and beautiful rooftop deck with excellent live music."
