10/10 Exceptional

The breakfast was good but ended a little early. The room was very nice. Not too small. The staff was very helpful with gettibg taxis and food recommendations and things like that. Pool area was nice. Close to lots of places walking distance including the train. The obky thing I would complain about would be the bar closes too early and also the restaurant.

Wow incredibly well designed rooms and a fabulous location in Eixample to stay at. Above all, the staff were excellent and you couldn't ask for better hospitality in the city. My husband and I were truly happy with our 4 night stay. Bed and shower were clean and great, room was spacious, hotel lobby was cool. When we had an issue with our first room, they immediately switched us over to another room. The staff also recommended we go to La Papa nearby for breakfast and I'm still thinking about the matcha latte and mushroom toast. Would recommend Olivia Balmes 10/10 for BCN!

8/10 Very good

The hotel is very nice, with a modern design; the location is great with lots of bars, restaurants, coffee shops and shops nearby; the staff was very helpful and friendly; however, one of the reasons I stayed at the place was because of the gym, its unusable: it has some dumbbells, little weight, no bench; it has a home-gym that is unusable, it seems like management bought the cheapest equipment to check the box with no regards for functionality. If you want to use a gym, this is not the place.

Unfortunately, the hotel needs an exterminator. On a nightly visit to the toilet, I saw a 5-6 mm creature with whiskers run into the opening between the glass and the wall in the toilet. Not what you want to see. I am freezing all my luggage upon return. Room otherwise nice, beds new and clean.

Best pool in Barcelona, most pools are up to your knees this one was relaxing and had food and beverage service. Great location close to public transit- cool rooms with black out curtains, room was cleaned pristinely daily- will be staying here from here on out.
