Loved Whitefish. It's a beautiful area. The downtown area is small and easy to walk with nice shops and fun restaurants. It is close to West Glacier and so easy to navigate. We hope to return again someday!

The ski resort was beautiful and there was something for everyone. The restaurants were delicious! We loved the town! We do wish there were more gift shops open and shops in general. It would be nice if the recommended restaurants were not rsvp only.

I've been coming to whitefish for 35 years. Still love it, but bummed as an old local that the downtowner is gone and affordable hotels. Fun for splurging, but not for a night away and want to see some music or ski.

We love the selection of shops and eateries in downtown Whitefish! We don't ski, but we really enjoy taking road trips from Alberta to Whitefish to shop and enjoy the sights.

"We had an incredible stay at Kandahar Lodge and can’t recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, the staff was friendly and welcoming, creating a warm and comfortable atmosphere throughout our visit.
The location is perfect—just a short walk to the base of the mountain where we enjoyed hiking, biking, and the scenic chairlift to the top with stunning views of Whitefish and the lake. The mountain also offers a free shuttle to town, which made getting around super convenient.
The highlight of our stay was without a doubt Buchanan’s Chophouse. We ended up dining there daily—the food was consistently excellent, the outdoor patio was perfect, and the service was top-notch. Huge thanks to James, the owner, who personally made us feel at home, and TJ, the bartender, who served up amazing drinks and great conversation.
This lodge offers the perfect balance of adventure, comfort, and hospitality. We’re already looking forward to coming back this winter to ski and wouldn’t stay anywhere else!
Thanks again for everything! "
"This is an exceptional B&B in every aspect. Breakfast was outstanding and all made from scratch. Amenities include hot tub fire pits complimentary wine, beer other drinks as well as extensive assortment of snacks and fresh baked cookies. Rooms were spacious and extremely comfortable. Great location to downtown Whitefish!"
"This was a comfortable stay, and an affordable option for the whitefish area. Their breakfast was good and offered plenty of options. The hotel is a bit older and definitely needs some updating but overall it was a good stay. "
"It was my first time in Montana. Whitefish was a lovely town, and the Firebrand is a perfect location: lovely room, great service and an awesome rooftop patio!"
