Basel-Stadt Hotels

The hotel was very nice, located in central Basel. The only downside was that it, apparently like other recently renovated hotels, did not have air conditioning (and it was unseasonably hot in Basel.

Beautiful hotel with nice amenities such as the breakfast and free mini bar. Staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. Location is very convenient for the train station but also an easy walk to attractions. I highly recomment.

We stayed at the Steinenschanze Stadthotel the day before we took a Rhine river cruise. The receptionist gave us good instructions on how to use the free transit pass to get back to the hotel after we returned our rental car at the airport, which saved us a taxi fare. The receptionist also recommended a good Swiss restaurant within a 10 minutes walk for dinner, and gave us good directions on using the free transit pass to visit the Basel zoo. Everything was excellent! Especially the staff. Carla at the front desk was kind and thoughtful. Our room was very modern and clean. The breakfast was beautifully presented and delicious. Highly recommend!

Excellent hotel in a great location. Complimentary Basel card, which allowed me to ride public transit for free and gave significant discounts on most museums.

Very close to the Old Town in Basel. Walking distance with many restaurants, great shopping. Had a car rental and it was easy to get around and find parking to visit the other cities not far from Basel.

Great convenient stay right near the airport. The bus to the airport is immediately across the street and starts operating at 4:20am if you have an early flight, otherwise they have an airport shuttle starting around 6 as well. Great comfortable rooms, quiet, and an easy public transit to the city

Great location for business or pleasure. Walking distance to downtown, cafes and shopping. Also walking distance to pharma companies, if you are in this business. Rooms are basic, but clean and you have a small kitchenette. I stayed in this hotel twice now, I highly recommend.

The room was a nice size and so was the bathroom It did have an elevator but you had to go up a flight of stairs to your room. We just went up one floor to make it easier to come down with heavy luggage

It was a nice hotel, good rooms, good service. It took ~15mins to walk to it with a suitcase from the train station and was close enough to walk to most of the tourist sights. A good choice for the price point.

Very nice and convient hôtel

We had a wonderful stay at this charming hotel. The lift was a plus for my mother who can't do stairs. Our corner room provided a cross-breeze, which was nice in the heat. The view of the old town just across the bridge was stunning. The included breakfast was convenient and delicious. The hotel did not provide an airport shuttle, but Uber worked fine.
