Basel-Stadt Hotels

The hotel was very nice, located in central Basel. The only downside was that it, apparently like other recently renovated hotels, did not have air conditioning (and it was unseasonably hot in Basel.

The most efficient use of space ever in a hotel room. U.S. hotels should learn from these guys. Best bathtub...narrow and deep, perfect for soaking after a hard day of travel. This is a surprisingly nice hotel in a great location. We travelled with another couple and their room was the standard size for European accommodations. However, our room on the top floor was larger with a very cool sky light window. Nevertheless, both rooms were very clean and modern. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Excellent hotel in a great location. Complimentary Basel card, which allowed me to ride public transit for free and gave significant discounts on most museums.

We had a suite on the top floor, large wrap around balcony, fabulous bathroom with bathtub, separate shower, 2 vessel sinks, toilet room, and a TV to watch while bathing. Bed was very comfortable. Staff were super friendly and spent as much time as needed answering our questions and providing us with a converter.

Perfect location in Marktplaz. Nice size, full kitchen appliances and nice sleeper couch for our grown son who joined us. Checkin was simple. Early morning truck delivering packages was just part of the city experience. Great time!

It is a boutique hotel as it claims. But has all the comfort and convenience that a big 5 star hotel can offer. Very clean. Location is perfect. Restaurant, grocery shopping, tourist attraction area, 3 stops away from train station and 5 minutes walk to tram station. Great convenient stay right near the airport. The bus to the airport is immediately across the street and starts operating at 4:20am if you have an early flight, otherwise they have an airport shuttle starting around 6 as well. Great comfortable rooms, quiet, and an easy public transit to the city

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Euler. The location is a bit outside of town near the train station, but there were trams right outside the hotel which took us downtown to the Christmas markets. The room was clean and comfortable. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel since it wasn't free, so we went to the Starbucks next door. The hotel looks like an old elegant hotel and although it shows it's age, they had some nice touches such as a piano player in the evening.

The room was a nice size and so was the bathroom It did have an elevator but you had to go up a flight of stairs to your room. We just went up one floor to make it easier to come down with heavy luggage

Comfortable rooms, great location!

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Rheinfelderhof in early October 2017. The staff were very accommodating. Storing our luggage until check in time as we were early, and even providing a stamp for our postcard to the kids back home. The breakfast is excellent as well as the breakfast staff. There is a small elevator that is also convenient after a long days walk seeing the sights. The rooms were clean. The apartment was excellent! It’s beautifully and modernly furnished, located in a quiet and pleasant neighborhood where you quickly feel at home. The location is great – there are good public transport connections, making it easy to reach the city center and main attractions. The apartment also comes with a BaselCard, which allows free use of public transportation – very convenient! Highly recommended for a comfortable and relaxing stay in Basel.
