The photos are misleading: they depict the "mother hotel", Hotel Krafft. What we got from that hotel was the superfriendly receptionist and the luxurious breakfast in a luxurious hall with a view. Consum itself was overpriced. The A/C couldn't help us in Basel's heat wave. The complex locking system felt old-fashioned. There was a remarkable renovation work going on in the street. The bathroom was luxurious though.

Not the place if you want a good nights sleep.

Nice enough room and in a great place but it was so, so noisy until midnight. I had earplugs which helped but the bar and music were very loud. They have earplugs at the coffee machine in the hallway but you wouldn’t find those until the morning - maybe they should put those in the actual room If you’re going to be up until midnight drinking then this is perfect but if you were hoping to get a good nights sleep then this isn’t for you!

Returning again and

Wonderful rooms and staff. They always remember us coming back and celebrate it. They have bags to borrow to go swimming in the river. Not that it is a bit hot during summer but the location and the convenience of the room makes up for it. They provide Dyson fans.

Wir waren zu einem Geburtstag engeladen und konnten auch das Feuerwerk geniessen. Vom Restaurant zum Hotel war es nur ein Katzensprung und waren bald in dem tollen Zimmer im Bett. Trotz noch vielen Personen unterwegs und auch einigem Lärm draussen, war es im Zimmer sehr ruhig. Wir freuen uns bald wieder bei ihnen im Hotel zu übernachten. Werden es auch weiter empfehlen. Werden

I did not like having to go through an outdoor smoking area to access the elevator to the 3rd floor. the stairs to the 3rd floor are winding and dangerous (old hotel). other than this complaint, it is a very nice hotel in a great location.
