What a beautiful hotel! The room was clean - the staff very helpful and the breakfast abundant. We really enjoyed our stay. It was a wonderful plus to have the van drive and then pick us up from dinner. I would certainly recommend this hotel

Beautiful hotel with a million dollar view. We splurged for three nights at the Grand Hotel Portovenere and are happy we did. Best location in this beautiful town though one scould argue that it is hard to go wrong anywhere in Portovenere. Room was spacious, king size bed was comfortable, air conditioning worked great, good size shower for Italy, staff was so kind and helpful. We had the top floor balcony room with 180 degree views of the sea were incredible. Breakfast was fabulous, make sure you include that with your stay. If we ever come back to Sanremo this is where we will stay.

We recently stayed at HM and loved the hotel. We were traveling with our 11 year old son and we were given a room with an adjoining smaller room perfect for our son with his own balcony. The main room was spacious, modern, and also a beautiful balcony with sea view. Perfect location in Santa Margherita Ligure. The roof top pool has a lovely view. Staff extremely helpful. Loved hearing church bells in the morning.

The owners were so helpful, sending a shuttle to pick us up and offering train and boat schedules to the CInque Terra.

This hotel is beautiful, not just the lobby but the rooms too. The public parking across the road, the lack of a close great beach and one unhelpful receptionist are the only reason I dont score it a 5 across the board. I would stay here again.

The staff was very helpful with everything we needed on where to park to how to get around. Breakfast was very nice and the rooms were so pretty. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel 5 Terre. The location is great, as it is only a couple of blocks from the beach and restaurants. It was an easy 5 minute walk from the train station and finding it after getting there was simple. The room was comfortable and when there was an issue with our air conditioner, we said something to the front desk as we were walking out and they fixed it before we got back later in the day. Amazing hotel view and personnel

Was in old town close to everything. Had everything you need and was very clean. We had to wait outside the door to check in, but only for a few minutes.

We were in Santa Margherita for a wedding, and on arrival discovered that another couple we knew had also chosen this hotel, a reassuring sign in itself. After unloading (see "needed improvements" below), we found everything in excellent shape and recently renovated: the A/C worked, bath was very nice, it was even roomy for a European hotel. Good breakfast, helpful staff, and a sister hotel around the corner that has a (very basic) gym. Location was central enough to walk to the beach hotels...
