Lots to do within walking distance. From restaurants to the marina with all the beautiful boats. We enjoyed great food and wine during our stay and took the ferry to Montarro and Monterosso for the day. Took the train back. Cinque Terre is easily reachable for day trips from this location.
(We traveled 9 days in Italy during what locals called the "off season" from March 6th to March 17th, 2015). We traveled from the U.S.
88 Miglia was spectacular. The best view in all of La Spezia. The hike to the hotel took us through a nice neighborhood with cool views.
The owners were so nice and welcomed us well. We took the local train to Manarola and Riomaggiore in the Cinque Terre area (very close to La Spezia).
We would visit 88 Miglia again!
What a beautiful hotel! The room was clean - the staff very helpful and the breakfast abundant. We really enjoyed our stay. It was a wonderful plus to have the van drive and then pick us up from dinner. I would certainly recommend this hotel
Staff was awesome! Food was excellent! Location was amazing! The only drawback is the rooms need updating to match. Room was certainly clean but bathroom was small and room a bit tight. We only had one night to spend and all three couples enjoyed the too short amount of time immensely. Staff was so friendly and totally on it. We lingered in the pool as long as possible then stayed late into the evening at the lovely table they’d set up outside for us. Montemarcello is such a cute village and the...
Emplacement exceptionnel!!
We stayed with 3 adults in one room. It was spacious and comfortable, pleasingly furnished and quiet considering it is right above the train station. There is no elevator and if you are traveling with heavy suit cases you have to lug them to the second floor. But that was the only draw back. We arrived by train from Florence( make sure you get off at La Spazia Centrale and not a station before also named La Spazia, but is a suburb) and were able to continue on to Cinque Terre within the hour. We...
Very nice hotel and people. The room was clean. They serve breakfast and provide several choices for all tastes. They were very cooperative with the luggage before checking in and after checking out. LA Spezia was a good place to visit. I enjoyed my time there.
The room was amazing, we got to stay in 302 which was the corner room and it had a great view of the town and the plaza.
The bed was comfy and the space was nice for us Americans that are used to bigger spaces. 😅
Would stay here again if we come back to Italy.
They were also doing maintenance upkeep on the building while we were there. It was nice to see them keep up with a historic building like this one.
