Nice room in an older building in a residential and business are. the neighborhood is so nice. At nite people walking everywhere and beautiful stores. Many restaurants everywhere. There is a be market around the corner that opens every morning at 5:00 a.m. and at noon they are gone. I was very comfortable and safe there as I traveled solo.
(We traveled 9 days in Italy during what locals called the "off season" from March 6th to March 17th, 2015). We traveled from the U.S.
88 Miglia was spectacular. The best view in all of La Spezia. The hike to the hotel took us through a nice neighborhood with cool views.
The owners were so nice and welcomed us well. We took the local train to Manarola and Riomaggiore in the Cinque Terre area (very close to La Spezia).
We would visit 88 Miglia again!
We loved this little hotel on the edge of downtown La Spezia, it has a fantastic location! So close to all of the restaurants and shops. It’s about an easy 20 minute walk to the train station.
The host is very friendly and accommodating. Our initial train into La Spezia was delayed multiple times and she was super easygoing about changing the meeting time for us to check-in. She was very informative about both the hotel, La Spezia and Cinque Terra. She recommended a few great restaurants,...
The place lives up to its name of “luxurious room”. The room is recently renovated and is modern, clean and well provisioned, even with slippers. It is located near the cruise ship pier and has restaurants nearby. The host is extremely gracious and hospitable. He not only waited to welcome us well into the night but also drove us to the Castle when we could not find a taxi to go there. The interaction with him left us a wonderful memory for La Spezia.
This is a fabulous, stylish hotel decorated in beautiful neutral colours but the staff in particular are wonderful. Nothing is too much trouble. There is no restaurant as such but the breakfast is super and we enjoyed the light lunches they offer. It is rated as a four star hotel but compared to other four stars we have stayed at in Italy, this hotel is far superior. (We also stayed in the last week of the season so the hotel was competitively priced compared to spring and summer).
Most comfortable place we have stayed as we travel through Europe. Memory foam mattresses and pillows, very cozy and comfortable feel, attention to every detail and free breakfast at the paticeria. It was great!
Nice hotel. Perfect location close to train station. Hotel owner or manager was super friendly and willing to share tips on getting around. Comfortable stay overall
The owners are amazing! Were incredibly flexible and allowed us to store our luggage for the day after checkout free of charge. Great proximity to the train station making Cinque Terre a breeze. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area.
Staff was awesome! Food was excellent! Location was amazing! The only drawback is the rooms need updating to match. Room was certainly clean but bathroom was small and room a bit tight. We only had one night to spend and all three couples enjoyed the too short amount of time immensely. Staff was so friendly and totally on it. We lingered in the pool as long as possible then stayed late into the evening at the lovely table they’d set up outside for us. Montemarcello is such a cute village and the...
The entire purpose of our stay in La Spezia was to visit the Cinque Terre. Like other reviews stated, it was perfect. We got off the train from Verona and headed down hill on the sidewalk about 100 yards and there was the hotel. Reception was very good, our room was very nice. The breakfast was very good. To visit Cinque Terre we just made the walk back to the train station and spoke with the Cinque Terre information personnel. They spoke English and recommended our tickets. We rode the train to...
Great hotel with exceptional service. Clean and comfortable. Gym equipment was new and although the gym was small it was all
We needed. Excellent breakfast
