There is a very convenient tram stop very close to the hotel that goes to the train station and you can also walk along the lake to the train station or the old town in about 15 minutes."

WOW I mean the views from this place cannot be beat. You absolutely MUST request a river facing room (you can see the beautiful snow capped mountains of Pilatus on a clear day). It is worth every penny. Additionally, your stay gets your a visitors pass with discounted rates on transport throughout the city. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind as well. We will DEFINITELY be coming back!
The location is excellent. We walked to the lion monument and to the lake. There were plenty of restaurants and shopping. The room was spacious and because it was on the 5th floor, the views were spectacular.
It seems that a one point in this building's history, this was once the Schiff Hotel. In fact the lettering on the outside of the building still reflects that. This building is an old structure renovated to modern standards but has its quirks. There is an elevator but it apparently was retrofitted into a space that was not designed for it. What a fantastic place to stay. We were only in Lucerne for one night, but it was such a great experience,we wish it could have been a longer stay. Loved our stay here (4 bed room with private bath inside). Would stay again. Clean room. Comfy and quiet bunk beds. Unique vibe/decor. There is no AC in the room so it can get a little warm in the summer. Opening the window and using the fan helps a bit. Good WiFi. Conveniently located in the old part of town.
Very helpful staff. They have a luggage room which was handy for us after we checked out and still had a few more hours in the city.
The check in process is easy unless a glitch happens (glitch happened to our friends who we are traveling with). The stairs (3-4 steps) going up to where the elevator is and few more stairs going up to the room makes it difficult if you have big, heavy luggages. The room space is great! It’s our first time to travel in Europe and this is officially our first hotel and we loved it, so close to everything that we want to do in Lucerne, staff are very helpful and accommodating. We would love to comeback here someday 😊
Location is fantastic! This is right in Lucerne old town. Everything is walkable from here. Since it’s right in the city, night time walks with gelato is easy. Property is fair, not fancy or upgraded recently but fair enough. Shower area is tiny so anyone about 5,11” and above can’t shower here. Overall a good stay.
Well - it’s small!! Only whacked my head on a beam one time. It was perfect for one overnight stay. 2 people might be a bit crowded. Beautiful city!!!!
The room was really spacious and had an awesome lake view. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. They give you a free bus pass to use during your stay. You get on right out front and it takes you to the city center or train station in about 15 minutes. Very easy and convenient.
