The room was clean and well appointed. I found the bed to be a little too firm. Our room faced the back side of the hotel and because there's no air conditioning and we had the window open it was noisy. The clock bell towers go off every hour on the hour. Sleeping for me was challenging. The location is good with everything within walking distance.

In the end, costs did not make sense to what you get. Location is only benefit. Room was tiny, but expected for old historic buildings, however it was clean and had a mini fridge. There was no air conditioning and the “city view” was just of a building infront of us. Rooms was so hot that when opening window, there is a warning of mosquitoes flying in. So basically stayed at a hot box for our honeymoon. I feel like 2.5 star is fair but option for 2 or 3 star only. Wasn’t happy with how much we paid. If it was more affordable I get it, but I feel we paid premium price.

An older and small hotel but perfect! The location is unbeatable and very convenient for the train station, boat trips etc. I had exceptional breakfasts in their restaurant and a fantastic dinner there. I was surprised at how good the quality was. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. And if you want to get away from the crowds, it’s an easy and stunning walk along Lake Lucerne. Book a balcony room overlooking the bridge if you can.
