"I have stayed here previously when it was self check in. Now they have 24 hour service. I found check in and luggage storage very easy as I was early. And then I had a very pleasant room upgrade with a spectacular view of river. A nice touch was the selection of juice and pop in the fridge. And having a fan in the room was excellent.
Very happy to stay and come back"
"Very good location next to a tram stop

"The apartment was spacious and well equipped, the communal area cozy, the 24H coffee machine a blessing and the staff really nice and helpful. I will be back!"

Loved this hotel. Staff made us feel
Welcome and special from the beginning, with little touches like bringing us lattes in the lobby when we arrived early and were waiting for our room. The rooms with balconies and river views are so worth it. Breakfast was perfect with white tablecloths and the best selection and presentation, again looking over the river. Easy walk over bridge to town. Tram stop around the corner took us everyplace we wanted to go with ease. Simple easy elegance. No...
We had a wonderful stay at this charming hotel. The lift was a plus for my mother who can't do stairs. Our corner room provided a cross-breeze, which was nice in the heat. The view of the old town just across the bridge was stunning. The included breakfast was convenient and delicious. The hotel did not provide an airport shuttle, but Uber worked fine.
The hotel was very nice, located in central Basel. The only downside was that it, apparently like other recently renovated hotels, did not have air conditioning (and it was unseasonably hot in Basel.
Hotel Spalentor offers a wonderful, well run place to stay in a perfect location for access to the old town or to get to the train station. Old school kind of place wheree they give you a physical key for your room but everything is clean as a whistle.
Located in 2-3 minutes walking distance from the station. Also close to the old city.
In general a very nice hotel with friendly staff. Highly recommend to those who are looking for a hotel in Basel.
Beautiful hotel with nice amenities such as the breakfast and free mini bar. Staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. Location is very convenient for the train station but also an easy walk to attractions. I highly recomment.
Everything was excellent! Especially the staff. Carla at the front desk was kind and thoughtful. Our room was very modern and clean. The breakfast was beautifully presented and delicious. Highly recommend!
What a gem of a hotel, right in the heart of Basel! I loved everything about the Nomad, from the free sparkling water to the extremely helpful staff and the fabulous restaurant. The room was modern, comfortable and had excellent Wi-Fi. The bathroom had a walk-in shower with a rain forest shower head as well as a handheld shower head - heavenly! I've stayed at the Nomad twice and would definitely stay again.
We stayed at the Steinenschanze Stadthotel the day before we took a Rhine river cruise. The receptionist gave us good instructions on how to use the free transit pass to get back to the hotel after we returned our rental car at the airport, which saved us a taxi fare. The receptionist also recommended a good Swiss restaurant within a 10 minutes walk for dinner, and gave us good directions on using the free transit pass to visit the Basel zoo. The receptionist also arranged our taxi to the...
