Our first trip to South Africa. Great weather in December. The taxi service was good and inexpensive. Hop on hop off bus day one gave us a great overview, Table Mountain was spectacular. Nice, helpful people. V and A Wharf, Camps Bay, Stellenbosch.

The city is absolutely beautiful! The mountains and ocean scenes will leave you with stunning photos. There are a plethora of restaurants and shops to choose from. Definitely do a city tour to get an idea of the lay of the land and the history.

A great place for a holiday with lots to see. The V&A waterfront was excellent for food and atmosphere. Table mountain, Robben Island and Cape Point a must see. The free guided walking tours of Bo-Kaap and the Historical city were excellent.

We love Cape Town. It still shows its income disparity and there's lots of work to be done still on that count, but the young energy of the city combined with the complex history and natural beauty and great art/food scene is hard to beat!

You can't go wrong with Cape Town as a holiday spot. It is simply great. Beaches, the mountain, the winelands, there is just so much to do. The restaurants in Camps Bay are overpriced, you can find better food elsewhere in the city.

Recommend three days minimum to see all the highlights Cape Town has to offer. Very warm, friendly locals, but like so many big cities, it's not safe to walk around after dark. Take Ubers and leave your purse at home.

Spent time in down town and at Wonderland. Despite the rain down town we had a great time. From Wonderland to Cape of Good Hope it was 1hr and a few minutes, Boulder beach is a great stop along the way to see Penguins.

Make sure you are fully aware of the safe areas to go and take the same care you would in any major city. The V&A waterfront is a must to visit and provides lots of options for entertainment and food

I was impressed with my first visit to Cape Town and already look forward to a return trip! The city, ocean, mountain scapes, wine region, and unique flora and fauna were all highlights!
"This apartment was beautiful with a stunning city view of Cape Town. It felt like home immediately and has a washing machine in the apartment which was greatly appreciated as someone who had been traveling for 2 months through Africa! Loves everything about my stay. Would very much recommend! "

"We absolutely loved staying at this hotel. My husband and I got married in Cape Town while we stayed here and we loved all the conveniences. It’s in the waterfront district so you can easily walk to all the shops and dining and it’s super safe. We had no problems walking on our own at night and felt completely safe- that was a big deal for us as most places are not like that. Beautiful rooms and great food. We loved our stay here- no complaints at all. "
"The staff is absolutely amazing. The rooftop bar and food was quaint quiet and perfect. The breakfast is simply amazing. We loved this stay. The location is on the waterfront, which is extremely safe, not extremely African, but very nice."
