As a solo female traveller, I felt safe with the exceptionally friendly staff who made a point of knowing who I was by name and checked on me every time I went in and out of the hotel. The area itself is not for the faint hearted but I was being picked up for day tours from the hotel door each day so really didn’t bother me and there were lots of lovely restaurants close by. I would definitely stay here again if I was in Cape Town. The location is very good for restaurants and bars. The hotel was also clean and the staff were very helpful. The breakfast selection and restaurant attached to the hotel was also good!
