Wander through a living Civil War museum where historic buildings cling to steep hillsides above two converging rivers. Hike part of the Appalachian Trail or raft the Shenandoah, then browse quaint shops in the lovingly preserved Lower Town.
If your into history of the civil war Harper's Ferry has a lot to offer. They have several shops to buy souvenirs and trinkets. We parked at the visitors center 20.00 for three days and you can ride the shuttle into town which was great made parking.

Picturesque and charming! You can see a lot in just 1 hour. It was a highlight of our Civil War trip, and I highly recommend it for others.

Lots to see of history, old buildings, battlefields, shops, parks, trails, recreated old town. Lots to learn. Could do without $20 parking pass - seems a lot. Appalachian Trail right there!

Harpers Ferry is a beautiful little town and the scenery surrounding it is gorgeous, but the parking/overcrowded streets somewhat dimmed our appreciation of it. The city really needs to invest in more parking.

Was not aware that they charge to get in the park now. $20.00 a car. This charge is a 3 day pass for all the parks and museums in the area.

Wonderful time. I do feel they need more information on parking. We drove around for an hour to figure and find it.
