The room was really spacious and had an awesome lake view. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. They give you a free bus pass to use during your stay. You get on right out front and it takes you to the city center or train station in about 15 minutes. Very easy and convenient. After a day of sightseeing it was nice to come back to our room, make some hot tea, and slip into a cozy robe and slippers. Absolutely amazing stay. Didnt try out the spa but this was an amazing hotel. I believe it was a little slow so the staff upgraded me to a room that faced the lake. Breathtaking views. Anything in the mini fridge is free of charge and breakfast is included. All things that really matter when traveling in an expensive country. Would highly, highly recommend.
This is a wonderful historical property that has been recently renovated and is currently in great shape. The room and common areas are tastefully decorated with color and charm, and the fixtures are up to date and modern. It sits on a hillside above the town, but there is a dedicated elevator (furnicular) that leads directly from the street to the property. The views and privacy of the location are amazing, and there is a cozy lobby bar with couches and a 5-star view overlooking the town. ...
Location, location, location….the Astoria has it locked in. Need the train? Just down the street. Need to go see the lake? Again, docks are down the street. Shopping? Dining? Yep, just down the street. Convenience was appreciated for myself and family during our stay. The Astoria met our needs.
We had a fantastic room on the third floor with a view of the beautiful lake. The staff were extremely pleasant especially checking in and out. The breakfast was very good and so fresh. Tea and coffee plentiful as with croissants and all other quality breakfast items. The beds are super comfortable and room spacious. Will definitely be coming again.

We were very pleased with our 2 night stay in Lucerne at the Cascada. The hotel is a convenient distance from the train station, an easy walk with luggage but far enough away that you can't hear trains. Reception was excellent and was able to get us into our room a couple hours before check-in time. They also were able to put us in a room towards the quiet back side of the building (little to no street noise.) Switzerland uses outlet plugs which are different from anywhere we've been in Europe....
WOW I mean the views from this place cannot be beat. You absolutely MUST request a river facing room (you can see the beautiful snow capped mountains of Pilatus on a clear day). It is worth every penny. Additionally, your stay gets your a visitors pass with discounted rates on transport throughout the city. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind as well. We will DEFINITELY be coming back!
Oh my gosh this place is heaven. The room was perfect, good size, comfortable bed with a balcony overlooking an absolutely breathtaking view of the lake and the mountains! There is a coffee bar/stand on every floor so you can help yourself to a coffee any time, day or night. The breakfast buffet that's included was delicious. The location is excellent. We walked to the lion monument and to the lake. There were plenty of restaurants and shopping. The room was spacious and because it was on the 5th floor, the views were spectacular.

Hotel is beautiful from outside. Room was not big, but not too small like some in the old town. Switzerland has a great train system. Being right across from the Luzern main train station with buses and trains access to nearby scenery.

Have stayed in many hotels in Luzern over the years but I now try to go back to the Wildenmann when I have the chance to visit Switzerland. It is consistently at the high standard that you would expect in Switzerland.
