"My friend and I enjoyed a mini break for her 50th. We immediately got upgraded upon arrival. The rooms were fresh, spacious and comfortable. This hotel is situated in the heart of Brighton making eating out a pleasant experience - we were a few minutes walk from the lanes, packed with restaurants. I would highly recommend this hotel."

"Great buffet breakfast! Spacious room with comfortable bed, large windows, clean bathroom and walk-in shower. Bedside includes reading lights. Room includes safe, iron and ironing board and hair dryer. Has option for early check-in (£30) and late check-out (£30), if available. The head shower knob cover fell out but still functional. There was a mistake in the bill charge during check-out but staff was incredibly helpful to sort it out."

"After checking in we found the air conditioning was not working, tried to call the front desk and phone was not working, nor was the TV. Had to walk back down to reception where we were told we were pre warned about the air conditioning ( we were not!!) and there was a fan in the room- there wasn’t. The lady argued saying there was and said in regards to the phone not working- most hotels don’t have phones anymore anyway. When she came to our room, she finally agreed we indeed did not have a fan. One was delivered- but it literally just moved the hot air around. The fan stopped working in the middle of the night and our toilet was on constant flush. Location wise, this hotel is great. But this hotel needs serious maintenance and updating and until this is done, I’d personally avoid."

"Lovely location. Our room was very small so I'd recommend to upgrade to larger one. Reception staff were welcoming and lovely. However, bar staff less friendly. Had to go upto the bar to get drinks which were expensive and then pay a heavy service charge to take my own drinks to my table. Service I understand when you receive it but not when you don't receive it."
