My room was spotlessly clean two clean towels one bath and one hand towel bed was made plenty of milks sugars coffee and tea sachets room had been well maintained. There are no staff onsite but if you email they respond very swiftly with a very helpful reply I didn’t know about the booking in online process untill I arrived at the door so I emailed and was instantly sent a door code number told my room number and given a code to get the key from a box outside door it was all easy to navigate. This hostel B&B is fantastically situated in grand parade very close to all bus stops at old steine and the sea front and pier also next to convenience stores. It is facing the beautiful Brighton pavilion which has a lovely garden and a museum.

Room was nice, sink, window, kettle and some supplements (tea, coffee etc). Was in room 6 which was a twin bed room, it was up five flights of stairs. Easy to get into and out. No noise complaints. Shared bathroom was very small, toilet with a mirror behind it, barely any room to stand with a small shower right in front of the toilet. Didn’t use the shower since only stayed one night, but it looked like there was stands of hair at the bottom. It’s actually pretty decent for a quick stay with everything you need. There was a safe in the small closet, and no noise complaints from me. Cheap, decent and near the beach. 👍

The good: We were surprised by how quiet it was. There are bars, shops and the seafront very close by but as they are not right on that street, even on a summer Saturday evening it was peaceful. A fan was supplied which was much appreciated as it was an attic room with only a small window. There was a toilet just outside our room (shared bathroom). Check out was by 11am which is generous. The not so great: the hotel and room were tired, the carpets show a lot of wear, the mattresses were comfortable enough for one night but I wouldn't like to stay longer as they have seen better days. The furniture in the room was dated and in some cases damaged. The bad: the bathroom on our floor was basically a re-purposed cupboard, sitting on the toilet you were basically in the shower. There was no sink as no room so you had to go back to your room to wash hands. The shower may have been clean but the shower stall was aged, yellowed and cracked and didn't look clean. We found another bathroom down stairs on the floor below and it was similarly sad and tired. We tried a few times to get a shower but in the morning the bathrooms were always full, so had to have a sink wash instead.

Firstly the room didn’t have a toilet, which unfortunately I thought come with the room with bathroom but no. People sat on the stairs unable to get in to their property and no way to contact help. The electricity was cutting out all night; we were able to find the fuse box but unfortunately something was tripping it over and over again in the end we had to spend our night with no electricity or lights. Contacted the supposed “24 hour” reception but no response of course. We turned the fuse back on early morning after which we finally had a response saying it was fixed (no thanks to anyone but us flicking the switch back on). It’s a budget stay so you get what you pay for but definitely expected more.

When I arrived at the property, I couldn't get into the building because I had received no checkin instructions. I saw a few message asking me to pay for a damage deposit in my Expedia inbox. But I didn't get any advanced notification in my gmail inbox until on the checkin afternoon. Because I was travelling, I couldn't have seen these messages until I arrived at the property. The message was very cryptic. It wasn't immediately clear what I needed to do. Another hotel guest kindly explained to me that I just needed to pay the £1 charge, then I would get the checkin instructions. There was no one from the hotel on site to help me, nor was there a hotel person on the phone who can help me. After I paid the £1 charge, I had to wait for 30-40 minutes and I had to email a gmail address before I received the checkin instructions. Overall, the checkin process was very stressful and unpleasant, as I had to wait in the 35 degree heat for the checkin instructions to arrive! The room was extremely hot with two large west-facing windows. The curtains had not been drawn so the room was baked when I arrived. One window can be opened but only ajar, it provided no discernable airflow. There was a fan in the room, but the whole evening was very unpleasant, hot and I had trouble falling asleep. The room was right on a busy street, so it was noisy. It also surprised me that there was NO en suite bathroom! I had to climbed 2 flights of stairs to find a shared bathroom !

Great location. However, there were no amenities, so it was a hostel, not a hotel. We were not advised that it was a 'digital' property (until we were on our way to Brighton) and that there was not a telephone number to ring if there was a problem. There was no information, leaflets or maps which you would expect to get. The room looked nothing like the pictures on your website, it was tired and dark and very hot. We were not aware that the shower and (very small) hand basin were in the bedroom and we had to share a toilet with all the other guests. Also, we were put on the third floor, with no lift, which is not ideal for a couple in their 70s/80s.

Чудове разтошування ,у центрі. Трохи шумно но можно використовувати телевізор або навушники.Чудове на день,два особливо коли треба ранковий поїзд або автобус. Єдине що було проблема з депозитом.Не розраховувала на таку опцію,нервувала але гроші повернули .То треба добре ознайомитися з правилами а потім бронювати.То був мій перший досвід з депозитом
