"We stayed here for two nights during our stay in San Juan Del Sur, and we loved the property and the staff working at the bed-and-breakfast were amazing. They were very accommodating and the breakfast in the morning was delicious. The pool was also great and a really relaxing time to lay out and catch some sun. The only problem is that it was located on top of a very steep hill so I would recommend to rent a car if you can."

"Parking is tight. Ended up having to pay addition money at check in that was not disclosed in the addition reservation which was prepaid. Did not provide each guest a towel and when asked for additional towels asked if we could share. They did end up providing everyone with a towel. That’s just understood. Breakfast was amazing and the morning staff just as amazing. Views were great and we loved being right on the beach

"The property has a very nice view of the bay, which makes it worth the stay. The pool and patio area is really nice, clean and enjoyable. It's a short walk from the center of the town but the last part is uphill. The only issue we had is that the room (pool view) we had is right next to the kitchen and there were a lot of ants, and the garbage is next to the room door. The cabin rooms seemed much better options."

"I had the misfortune to arrive by bus from Managua on a rainy day. I thus had difficulty in finding the Hostal. When I did, at aout 7 pm, the person at the reception did not even ask to identify me, and I was led to a room with a window giving on the corridor, a small old sink giving only a tiny fillet or water, etc. Only cold water, but that seems to be general in San Juan. I eventually got used to all these "perks"..."

After this banger sunset, we were driving back to town with our sunroof open. We were in good spirits after a mellow surf day and beautiful views when we had a howler monkey almost join us in the car. He howled so loud right into our open roof that the color drained from our faces and we sped home so quickly. If you haven't heard these animals before just listen to Jurassic Park
