The location and ocean were nice. It was very quiet except for the sounds of the ocean and you didn't know if guests were next door or in the hall. The towels, yes the towels, were very absorbant and soaked up the water on your skin. We stayed at Makena Surf in unit 204A and the condo exceeded our expectations. The location was perfect the view was like a post card. The unit is fully equipped right down to the beach towels. We had a couple of minor issues when the with ac stopped working and the propane tank running empty however the maintenance staff quickly resolved the problems. The cleaning staff did a great job as well. I have stayed at the Ritz and the Fairmont in the past and prefer the Makena Surf hands down. I...

We had an awesome stay. We did not realize how big this resort was. I would definitely stay at Kingsland again. It offers easy parking. And it is nice and quiet where we stayed. And we had access to any other part of the resort. So it allowed us to be away from the main building, where the beach and luau were located. The room was clean and spacious, as was the bathroom. The hotel staff were professional, courteous, and welcoming. The breakfast buffet was the best hotel breakfast I have had in years, with rotating options, an omelet bar, and fresh cut pineapple. It was an all around 5 star stay.

This hotel was perfect for our little stay. We specifically did not want to stay in Waikiki, and this was the perfect distance away. We could still walk to the Waikiki area, but felt like we were in a quite neighborhood away from the hustle and bustle. The hotel room was a suite, and we were not expecting that. We really enjoyed the security, you can’t use the elevator if you don’t scan your card first. We also stayed in a club room, and we ate breakfast everyday. The breakfast is pretty simple but it’s great if you don’t want to go over a budget. The club area also has happy hour everyday which we took advantage of since all drink were included! Duke's and Hula Grill are located here and are similar restaurants. They have stores located on the lower level and everything is walkable from the hotel...

Great stay. Easy walk to the main strip of Waikiki. Parking is steal being free and only a short two blocks away. Staff is very nice, beds comfortable. Rooms clean. My 6 yo enjoyed the pool. I would stay here again anytime.

The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly but a cleaning lady of my room was grumpy. The first night I found a dead cockroach in the bathroom. Parking is small and limited but free. Room is large in comparison with others in Waikiki . I’m going to stay this hotel again!

Have stayed here often over the years but not recently until this stay, the upgrades to rooms and AC are outstanding and the whole place has been upgraded. For those coming from afar there are THREE ABC stores a phenom in Hawaii, within a few hundred yards of the Hotel meaning you could come with nothing and up to 11pm we well equipped for your stay. Lots of fun water activities for families. Beach and wonderful lagoon for ocean swimming, snorkeling and paddle boarding. Service is excellent. Pretty good restaurant options onsite. Only weak spot was the room, which was ok for a high quality resort. Also they don't have daily room cleaning service, only a "light" clean every other day, which is annoying.

I had an excellent experience. The staff was friendly and attentive to my questions and concerns.

My ocean view room was the perfect stay for mine & my families visit to Waikīkī. We added the breakfast option which was perfect and saved us some coins as food in the area can get pricey. The views from our balcony were breathtaking, I found myself watching the sun set each day. Pool & poolside bar are nice *Be sure to catch their Happy hour specials. Overall no complaints 10/10! This is my new favorite hotel in Waikiki! If you’re looking for a smaller hotel that isn’t a big resort, this is a GREAT option! Newly renovated less than 2yrs ago so everything is new, it’s clean, the staff is amazing, the rooftop pool is nice and has good views, the Heavenly restaurant downstairs has AMAZING breakfast! … I can’t say enough good things about my stay here. I’ll be back next visit!

Excellent great locatio

Upon check-in, we headed to our room. It was a decent size plus had a mini kitchen. This was perfect since I had to be on home rest after a medical procedure. We loved being able to go out on the lanai, though we wished there were some chairs to sit outside. There were plenty of restaurants nearby and ABC store and Longs less than 5 minutes away. The pool was nice but it was way too cold to swim in. If the pool was a bit warmer then it would be 5 stars. The shower was hot ans plenty of pressure....

clean, well maintained, paid parking and it’s okay, it was easy to find parking in the garage, location was great, walking distance to Waikīkī and restaurants. close to CorePower Ward and Kahala. ice and water dispenser in the lobby, a plus for me. Will stay here next time or again.
