We stayed here for almost two weeks. Kelly was amazing. She was always whipping up different types of breakfasts. She was so cute and so talkative.
Her food was really good. (If you are like me however, ask for pancakes or french toast or crepes) she loves to cook Mexican style breakfast but it didn’t always sit right with me. Then I told her about and she said, “well you should have told me earlier!” We both laughed. And it was excellent there after.

I booked a night here since it was close to the airport and our accommodations for the trip were far and we we’re arriving very late. I called ahead let them know of our late arrival. Was with daughter and grand twin girls in there big rental house for week near Pahoa by coast. Decided to stay extra 5 days on short notice as Kilauea volcano was lighting up Lava lake. Did not need 400$ nite place as by myself. Found Hilo Vacation Rental at 85$ nite on Expedia for room queen bed, lots of storage, Tv, internet fast and porch area French doors to dry snorkel stuff. Was shared common areas and bath was very nice and never had problem with guests as seems was always available....

Blonde lady in the gift shop not friendly when checking in and out. She was talking to another male employee about other employees. Discuss business about training modules. Not friendly at all. Did not feel welcomed at all. In fact felt we we interrupting her day and she did not want to be bother with us. Spend a lot of money to stay her and was not welcomed. I wanted to purchase several items in the gift shop and passed.
This is a wonderful place to stay in Puna. It is in the heart of the area and they regularly host events, which can be fun to attend. They have a cafe at the reception area with some healthy food options, mostly pre-made.
We stayed in the Ohia Ranch Retreat room. This was easily the most beautiful room we’ve ever stayed in. The aesthetic of the stained wood beams, hard wood floors and furnishings was outstanding. There was a real attention to detail.
The bed was also tied for the most comfortable bed we’ve slept in and reminds us that we have to replace our bed at home sometime soon.

This isn't a hotel. It is closer to an AirBnb/High-End Hostel. Either way, it is awesome. We stayed in the guest house. The bed is amazingly comfortable and I slept great. We had the ocean view room on the second floor. It was newly renovated, with a beautiful private bathroom and beautiful wood work throughout. We were a bit spoiled when we were there, since there were no other guests on our floor during our stay. The kitchen and living room were spacious and well equipped, and Josh was always there to help us if we needed it. We would definitely stay here in the future
