The best family rental ever. For the price compared to all the other resorts you get the most bang for your buck: location, FULL KITCHEN, laundry, guest services, beach access, shopping, and the most beautiful ocean with snorkeling magic galore. We saw sharks turtles and fish by Black Rock. It was amazing. Our daughter loved her first trip to Hawaii. We will definitely be back to west Maui and highly recommend the Whaler.

This place is absolutely magical. Perfectly situated on the most beautiful oceanfront property among lush gardens and swaying palm trees. It indeed feels like an exclusive boutique hotel. The service was stellar, the plentiful and delicious buffet breakfast should not be missed, the spa is dreamy, and the pools and private beach are glorious. This lovely gem in the small town of Paia is centrally located well maintained and with pleasant staff it has a private 100 ft walkway to the beach. There is a phenomenal family style fish restaurant and a great flatbread pizzeria within 50 yards and a few shops. The Kahului airport is 6 miles away away

We stayed at Makena Surf in unit 204A and the condo exceeded our expectations. The location was perfect the view was like a post card. The unit is fully equipped right down to the beach towels. We had a couple of minor issues when the with ac stopped working and the propane tank running empty however the maintenance staff quickly resolved the problems. The cleaning staff did a great job as well. I have stayed at the Ritz and the Fairmont in the past and prefer the Makena Surf hands down. I...

Great property overall...adult pool if you want to relax...family pool and a huge water slide for the kids. Poolside food was excellent...everything on the menu was fantastic! Fantastic resort. All staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Beautiful pool and beach. Rooms were great. Didn’t leverage restaurants as reviews were not stellar and far overpriced ($50 for a bowl of pasta?). Only negative is they felt understaffed. For example quick breakfast place to grab coffee, sandwich, etc was always busy with 10 people in line and took 30 mins. Poor staff their tried there best and super nice, but they needed more help as that’s a silly wait for coffee

The hotel location was very convenient for our stay and easy access to all what you need - restaurants and groceries. Walking distance to Costco if you're its member and taking advantage of it, especially its gas price was much cheaper to the others when you have rental car like me. I want to thank Mika and Tammi for the upgrade to the Hibiscus Room. It was my fault that I didn’t document my other guest and booked the smallest room which I thought was cheaper. In the end, I got a really nice view of Haleakala and the Pineapple fields. It was a nice and quiet properly and they were one text away if we ever needed anything. I would highly recommend this property to a friend. Not too far from the places we wanted to go. Truly enjoyed my stay.

Maui Seaside hotel is very clean they take great care of their landscaping. They have a great view and is close to the shops. Staff is friendly and they even have an airport shuttle for free.

Beautiful property. Room was very clean. Very family friendly (we traveled with our 3 and 5 year old). It is not located on Kaanapali beach (5 min drive), but we liked it much better because it was more laid back, less people and quieter (not so touristy). Great place to unwind the body and mind after climbing volcano's. Great tranquil place with great selection of yoga classes. Very good breakfast included and dinner option to. If you wish to skip the busy tourist place than use as option. Rental car recommended if you wish explore local island.

The pics of the beach were very misleading. There are rocks and bay sludge but not a bad view. The best bea h nearby is only 7 minutes by the airport. Staff were amazing!

It was a confusing check in process because the staff refused to help us because this unit was privately owned. I didn’t realize till then . Anyways , after reading my emails and phone calls, we got in . The kitchen sink had a slow leak the reason a frying pan was left under it which I removed and a day after I ended up cleaning/drying because water had started leaking to the kitchen floor . The cutest hotel in the perfect location on Maui! Close to lots of local cafes and restaurants, and the beach was maybe a 10 minute drive away. The room itself was super cute and tasteful, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. We’ll be staying here again the next time we’re in Maui!
