"The location is great. It was clean and the front desk attendant was very nice. I liked that it was within walking distance from restaurants and the harbor. I recommend trying Mitchs Seafood right across the street. The bed seemed old and was a bit too soft for my liking. I had a room with the balcony off to the side parking lot. Next time I’ll request one that looks out toward the pool. Breakfast was decent. Eggs a lil too watery. Parking is safe and free. I’d definitely stay again but upgraded beds and bedding would be nice. "
"This is a great Motel. Spacious rooms. Very clean, comfy beds. Great showers. Off street parking with a security guard at night. Close to shops, takeaways, even a couple of good restaurants, Target, Ralphs etc all within walking distance. Includes breakfast with your stay. It has a gym, reverse osmosis water machine and laundry onsite. Wonderful, helpful and very courteous staff. Even a grassy area out back for the kids to sit in the sun. The price is right, and plus it's about 10 or 15 minutes from the Airport. What's not to like? For the last 2 years this has been my number 1 choice to stay in San Diego."
"We were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to our room. That was wonderful. We enjoyed the view the restaurant in the hot tub. I hope to make another stay at Island Palms best Western."
