Waltz through imperial grandeur at Schönbrunn Palace, where Habsburg opulence unfolds in room after gilded room. The Vienna State Opera hosts world-class performances in a building almost as dramatic as the productions themselves. Christmas markets transform Rathausplatz into a wonderland of lights and glühwein each winter. Duck into coffeehouses where time seems suspended since Freud's day – lingering is practically mandatory. The Hofburg Imperial Palace complex houses enough museums and treasures to fill several days of exploration. Music lovers shouldn't miss the House of Music Museum, where interactive exhibits let you conduct a virtual orchestra. Between cathedral visits and museum hopping, pause at sidewalk cafés where the art of people-watching reaches its refined peak.

Novotel Wien Hauptbahnhof
"Clean Rooms. Very convenient location - next to Railway, Metro, Tram and Bus station"
Austria Trend Parkhotel Schönbrunn
"Located very close to the metro and Schonnbrunn Palace, it's a great spot to get around Vienna. Nearby food options are also open late into the evening which was perfect for us with our later arrival. Overall the stay was very nice, our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Check in was a breeze, and staff were very accommodating to store our baggage at check out. It seems there are multiple buildings to the hotel which are all kind of linked by the courtyard in the middle. The building we were in still had nice rooms, but you could tell that the hallways had not been renovated in sometime. Obviously not a deal breaker in anyway, but it stands in stark contrast to the image presented when you first enter the hotel."
Hotel Grand Ferdinand Vienna
"Lovely hotel, great location, and exceptional service"
MOOONS
"The location right across Wien HBF was the biggest plus. Good for travelers that need to get on an early morning train, walk 10min and you're there. It's also convenient to get to most places in the city. Checkin and out was fast and easy."
Austria Trend Hotel Savoyen Vienna
"Spacious comfortable room, excellent staff and well connected to public transport"
Ruby Lissi Hotel Vienna by IHG
"Hotel located in really good area for tourist, breakfast was more than I was expected all clean and staff was amazing"
Premier Inn Wien City Hauptbahnhof
"The location was excellent as we arrived from the train station. They had our room ready early so that was a bonus. The bar and lobby area was very nice, lovely comfy chairs to relax in after a busy sightseeing day. Drinks were very reasonably priced especially the happy hour from 5-7pm! While the breakfast had the essentials and all looked fine there wasn’t a huge choice especially for vegetarians. Overall good option for location."
