The beds were super-comfortable. The wine-bar is nice. Great location -- close to center, restaurants, and shops, but a quiet street.

The hotel was wonderfully decorated. Staff communicated that each room was unique and designed by a different artist. The aesthetic was beautiful and its location is close to the heart of the city.

10/10 Exceptional

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Rathaus Wein & Design during our week in Vienna. We were traveling as three generations: grandma, mom, and daughter, and the hotel was a great choice for all of us. The location was excellent. We were able to explore so much of Vienna using public transportation and walking, and we loved coming back each day to the quieter Josefstadt neighborhood. It gave us easy access to the major sights without feeling like we were staying in the middle of a busy tourist area. The hotel has so much personality. We loved the wine theme and the unique design throughout the property. It felt warm, comfortable, and distinctly Viennese rather than like a large chain hotel. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. After long days exploring Vienna, it was wonderful to return to a place where we felt comfortable and well taken care of. Most importantly, Hotel Rathaus Wein & Design became part of the experience of our trip. This was a very special week for my mother, daughter, and me, and we will have wonderful memories of our time in Vienna.

This is a wonderful boutique hotel in a terrific, convenient neighborhood of Vienna. The room was lovely, spacious and comfortable. The staff was extremely helpful; we made a last-minute reservation and called in the morning to let them know we’d be arriving early, and they arranged to have our room cleaned and ready for us to check in immediately. We really appreciated it.

Staff was very helpful with laundry, taxi booking and ironing board and the hotel was much better than I thought, and affordable. The room was simplistic but had everything I needed at it felt spacious. I slept well there and the breakfast was good! Towels could be a little bigger. Check in and check out was smooth although they said online I couldn’t check in earlier than 2 but it seemed I could when I got there

Overall, the hotel feels a bit dated, but it has a certain charm. The room was spacious and comfortable, though slightly too cold for my taste. Breakfast was enjoyable, with a good selection of local specialties, and the location is excellent.
