Beautiful hotel

I had a wonderful stay at Casa de Las Artes. It was Easter weekend and I was welcomed with a special Easter dessert treat, a very nice touch. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are decorated very well and comfortably. It is in walking distance to Plaza Mayor, the Prado and many restaurants and shopping. Great stay!

This was my second stay at Casa de las Artes and where possible, I will use it when visiting my son and daughter-in-law in Madrid. The building is beautifully historic, the bedrooms are comfortable and clean with quirky details and the staff are all lovely. The food is excellent as well!

Traveled with my wife and 2 kids (teens) We had a connecting room which was great. Facilities are clean, modern and secure. Beds are comfortable. Pillows are comfortable. Clean. Morning buffet was fantastic. And more importantly the staff !!! Yevgeniy was somehow always available to answer any questions. And all the staff were friendly, helpful, attentive and knowledgeable. Id definitely recommend this establishment to my friends and family.

Wonderful location for the major galleries. The locale was full of very good bars and restaurants. The interior layout is quirky but fun. Room comfortable but the 'city view' had no view at all.

Loved it!!!

Incredible beautiful hotel, especially the restaurant and the reception area. Very nice spa. Really nice bed linen and bed. Very nice and extremely service oriented staff. Will definitely book more stays here! The only thing that needs to be improved is the state of the hallways, and elevator leading up to the room, it’s very old. Also bathroom should have a towel drier.

Lovely hotel with brilliant helpful staff and a lovely library/bar/restaurant. Easy to walk everywhere in around 15-30 mins. The communal areas were very nice, but we found the areas with the rooms to be quite basic. Our room wasn’t the cleanest and there were even a couple of rose petals in random places in the room from last guest which was a bit odd. You can also hear a lot of noise from people in hallway from room and we were woken up by a big group of people opposite playing music and going in and out of room numerous times. But overall we still had a nice time!

Centrally located and situated outside a metro station. Very walkable to the main sites in the city. The hotel is modern, stylish and clean, arty in design. The room had all the mod cons, clean and new, slightly on the smaller side. All staff we encountered were friendly and welcoming. We only dined in the restaurant for breakfast which had everything you needed for the day ahead, although we felt there could have been more of a selection given the amount of space in the breakfast room which you would expect from this type of hotel (eg no baked beans, no salads etc). The gym had basic yet new equipment to keep moving during our break . We didn't use the spa/pool during our time, however it looked clean and inviting which we would have used had we stayed longer. We travelled as a couple. Would recommend.

Very clean but otherwise mediocre

I was a little disappointed with my stay at Casa de Las Artes. I found the bed to be a little bit hard. Also, as a solo traveller, I didn't feel there was much security. There was a 24 hour desk clerk but anyone could walk into the hotel. The sauna was very nice but the pool was a bit cold, and there is no hot tub. The breakfast was nice and I had a pleasant meal at the hotel restraurant one evening. I walked to the museum, so that was a perk. There is also a metro very close. My room was clean, also a perk. If you need a clean place in Madrid and the price is right for you, it's a nice place. If you're looking for extra security or luxury comfort you will likely be displeased.

Lovely hotel close to the 3 main art museums and a gentle stroll to Sol and Plaza Mayor etc. We enjoyed a street art tour of Lavapies which is a short walk away. The indoor pool is a great way to relax after a day of touring. Food wasn’t great (lots of things on the menu were not available but I can’t see how they would have been difficult to pull together) and the service in the restaurant is slow and a bit snappy in some cases. Wouldn’t recommend unless you’re really too tired to go anywhere else! Check in takes ages and there can be a queue but everyone was lovely to us. I would definitely recommend staying here for a relaxing break - wellness area and library are unusual treats and such a nice touch, as well as the classic chocolate on pillow turndown. it’s a 4* with 5* details.
