8/10 Very good

Convenient, low staff availability so no pool, restaurant, breakfast, minimal room service
Evelyn, 1-night trip

The hotel is HUGE, and the staff are very nice, the room is very spacious and its a pet friendly stay. The hotel is under construction so the amenities are not available such as, the lounge bar or the pool or anything like that, but if your looking for a room to crash out in and have a pet then this place is good. Its very quiet there, no issues with the room, staff is VERY honest as they called us to let us know my husband left his wallet ( that alone says alot about the staff). A+A+A+

When I pulled up the whole parking lot was dark and I was not sure if it was open. The front desk person told me she did not see my reservation and that the computer and printer was giving her trouble. The lobby it's self actually looked nice, however, that was the only part that looked nice. There is a sign taped to the front desk that said the restaurant , pools, hot tub, and bar were all closed; according to reviews it has been that way for 3+ years. The hallway floors were ripped up and it looked like it was a remodel that had been paused. Some one spilled a soda all over the elevator and there was no sign anyone planned on cleaning it. Half of the light bulbs in the room didn't work and the TV operated on antenna only. The windows were poorly insulated and the road noise sounded as if the window was open. Overall this has the bones and look of a once prominent conference center that has since fallen into disrepair and it seems that with each passing month that could be the last of this hotel being open.

The property was clean with a convenient location. The staff was friendly and helpful. However, the building itself has seen better days.

2/10 Poor

Absolutely unacceptible. trash all over the place outside, inside just as dirty My room has debris all over the carpet, dead flies on the window sill, broken toilet wouldn't flush, unsanitary coffee pot in room, deteriorating desk chair not suitable to sit on. Pool broke. Hot tub broke. Continentail breakfast not offered/cancelled. No drinking fountain anywhere. Landscaping completely ignored. Very sketchy atmosphere, elevator smelled of cigarette smoke.

Most Comfortable Beds Ever!

The receptionist was extremely friendly and had us checked in after only a few minutes after arrival. We were given a 4th floor end room which was very clean and quiet. The beds and pillows were the most comfortable I've ever slept in at a hotel, even when considering comparison to a hotel 3x-4x the cost per night. The linens were crisp and freshly washed as well.

Stay somewhere else

Front desk took 30 minutes to check in the person ahead of me. Pool, restaurant, and other amenities were all closed until further notice. No cable on TVs. Parking was far away and kinda scary. Overall do not recommend.

Disappointed

This Hotel is definitely NOT what it used to be. I stayed at tgis Hotel several years ago and had a GREAT experience. Not so much this time. The associate at the front desk wasn't very friendly- didnt smile once. The room wasnt clean. There was a yellow rubber band on the floor and 2 fake finger nails so I KNOW the room wasn't efficiently cleaned. The pool and gym were BOTH out of service and there was NO breakfast! Thats one reason I chose this Hotel was because of the amazing breakfast they had the last time I stayed. On the plus side- the sheets and towels were clean and the shower head and water pressure were amazing! I WISH i wouldve taken pictures.

The pictures listed must be from 10 years ago. The place is falling apart. Also the pool, spa, gym and restaurant have all been closed since 2020.

Needs better dressed counter personnel and upgrade

First. The girl at the desk at first looked shady. Sweatshirt with hoodie covering everthing bit her eyes, nose and mouth. My husband went to meet our friend and before they left the hotel to go to the Michigan State game, he had to use the bathroom. He askedcwhere it was so he didn't have to go back up to the room. She told them there wasnt a bathroom. My husband said, I know there is as my son used it early in the morning when we first arrived. She then told them it wasnt for people off the street and asked them who they were. My husband told her he has a room here. She asked under which nsme. He told her. She asked what the room number was, he told her. She then told them where the bathroom was. He felt, being black might have contributed to her line of questioning. The hotel smelled clean throughout. But there was a late party using the ballroom and then wreaked marijuana throughout when you walked in through the back. The room was clean. The bedskirts on the beds were tucked between the mattress and when they came out they were all torn. One curtain end was hanging. The lights didn't work in the room or were total broken, no switch. Only two towels were privided in the bathroom for 5 of us. If you have two double beds in a room, you should have at least four towels. They didn't offer breakfast even though it stated Continental Breakfast.
