Upon arriving the staff was very kind and friendly. She loaded the little lift wagon and delivered out luggage to our condo. The stay was very clean, and provided coffee/hygiene products/dishes/etc. highly recommend!

Great location outside of town and away from the crowds. I would highly recommend bringing bikes though as it is a 2 mile trip back into town for meals and the shops. The room was good for what we needed it for as we spent minimal time there during the evening and a couple of mid afternoon breaks.

Everything was very nice and clean and cozy. The bed was comfortable. My only complaint would be that the little closet was locked as well as the dresser to put away our clothes. We found that odd. Otherwise it was beautiful

The pricing is good for a condo. But shouldn’t say up to 4 people. The pull out couch should only be used for small children. Horrible mattress!! Needs a lot of TLC. Deck was very moldy needs to be pressured washed and outside of building needs mold removal and paint. The bathrooms need to be painted very rusty baseboards, paint falling off the walls. King bed was comfortable. Could use more tinsel. Should state in the booking, $11 each way per person for horse drawn taxi.

Very nice place to stay, clean. No personal contact, let yourself in. Quick response to any concerns. Our microwave went out because of the breaker. Response within 5 minutes. Mini-fridge and freezer work. Full pot if coffee. Close to small convenience store selling drinks, sandwiches, travel samples of whatever you forgot at home. Overall, a bargain considering all of the very expensive hotels near by. A taxi or shuttle is needed to get there and back from the main strip/ down town, $11 each way, kids half price. 40 minute hike if you decide to walk. Most rooms have a small balcony with table and chairs.

The condo location and cleanliness were outstanding! There were very few pots and pans for cooking so if you are staying longer than a few days this can become problematic. The cost for the stay was beyond reasonable for the island. We hope we can get the condo again in the future.

A bit run down but a quaint little room with a balcony. View of bridge was blocked by another house but good view of the lake. The closest food was at the Stone Cliff $$$ with a tiny "general store" ie: paid $4 for a yogurt! Very limited options. It was 1.8 miles from the main city streets and we were not aware we could get a shuttle. Very secluded and quiet. Suggest you bring your own groceries/snacks!

The condo is pretty far away from town,however the horse taxis are fun and easily available.They have a porter to send your luggage on,at the ferry docks.So you don’t have to go back and forth.You can stay right in town and explore the island until you are ready to head to your room.When we did our luggage was in room waiting for us.Also the next day at check-out the porter took our luggage to the ferry and made sure we got the next available taxi into town.When we were ready to head back to Macinaw City,we found our luggage held at the dock.Also there are a few nice places within walking distance The Stonecliff is a great place to have drinks and watch the sunset,we had dinner at the Woods.The staff there was very friendly and the food was five star.All in all our stay at the Sundet Condos was a very nice experience.

This is definitely off the beaten path and a trek to town! The condo in Pinewood was stifling hot when we arrived. The fans helped once windows were opened. Kitchen window did not open which would've allowed for a cross breeze. We had to prop open front door to help cool the condo. It's cooler at night thankfully but critters came in from screens with gaps or holes. The pros: Washer & dryer Full stocked kitchen with table & counter seating Full balcony/deck with stunning water and mainland views Comfortable bed upstairs 2 bathrooms The cons: Pullout sofa mattress was thin No AC Bathroom was tiny upstairs& wo hooks The distance from town Costs of travel to and from No seasonings/cooking oils in stocked kitchen Doors did not close in bathroom and closet downstairs No dusting was done it was full of cobwebs Art and pictures left unhung in closet The wear and tear and staining was noticeable
