"We really liked the outdoor hot tubes and warmer big swimpool—they're outdoors, so it was unusual but fun in the rain. It's great that all the pools are large and spacious. The showers and toilets are also very clean and comfortable. We visited in the fall and it was raining, so we weren't able to fully enjoy the outdoor areas, but we still really enjoyed our family weekend. The king-size beds are very comfortable! We were also very pleased with the fireplaces."

"Great location in second floor of an old mill. Above the brewery and restaurant. No live music when we stayed. We would have enjoyed that but they warn guests that it could be loud in rooms. Rooms clean. Beds were comfortable and nice view of river. Blinds and curtains provide for sufficient darkness if desired. Bathroom clean. Good hot shower. Cold water faucet was broken. Door combo works but you need to be sure to lock deadbolt when in room or from outside when leaving - it's not automatic. Chain latch gets jammed but doesn't seem necessary with deadbolt. Emergency exit map on door is mounted upside down. The food and beer at VCA was great. The lobby/lounge was a bit unwelcoming and disorganized, as you walk through an unused part of the restaurant (considering no concert) with low lighting and cases of pizza boxes waiting to be folded. All in all, a good value and great place to stay"

"The room HVAC worked but is noisy. I don't mind because i like to sleep to white noise. Decent hotel. Not fancy at all. Seasonal prices were high compared to what i usually pay around the country. Vermont hotels seem to always be expensive Only bare essentials in room. Good tv channel selection."

"Very cool historical hotel and friendly staff. I want to see a movie in the theater next time. Some details were off, such as no working needle on the record player and tv display settings were messed up, and a broken marble top on the radiator. "

"The is was our first trip to Manchester. What a great town! The hotel was lovely- easy parking, quiet, and quaint. The staff at the front desk were so helpful ! You could walk to town but it would be about a 20 min adventure… make sure you go to the North field book store~ wonderful!! And we had coffee and egg sandwich at their coffee shop around the corner."

"The staff was nice and helpful. We checked in ok. I was told the room was ready, but it wasn't. Tv didn't work right, needed help getting the fridge running, had to ask for more towels because we only had a hand towel in the room, the mattress was a 2 out 5 at best and finally, had to give them the pizza boxes from the closet. "
