We stayed in Cologne for two days, and we needed somewhere to sleep and park our car while we roamed the city on foot or public transport.
The Ameron was an excellent choice. Easy to find by car, and right next to the tram station, with just 5 stops away from the city center.
The hotel serves a very nice German breakfast, and the staff at the reception were very helpful with some tourist tips and information.
This is now definitely my go-to hotel for my next visit to Cologne.

I always enjoy my stay at the 25hours Hotel The Circle. The atmosphere offers something unique and the staff is helpful. The restaurant, bar, and sauna have great views of the cathedral. The lobby offers interesting exhibits and a coworking cafe.
Lovely hotel. We booked a corner room that overlooked the chocolate factory and the river next door. The hotel also has a rooftop patio! Everything was very walkable and we greatly enjoyed our experience.
Stayed there during an exhibition at Koelnmesse. The hotel is clean and the rooms are spacious. It takes about 15-20 minutes total time to get to Koelnmesse from hotel via walking to the train station then takin the train.
The rooms are so comfortable and have everything to feel relaxed. The pool and sauna are superb and spotless. There is a choice of four restaurants and we ate very well indeed with excellent service and a superb wine list .
We stayed here for an event at Media Park. The location proved perfect. Lots of restaurants nearby, and only a 10-15 minute walk to the Dom. Large rooms by European standards. Ample (expensive) parking.
The hotel is south of the altstadt and about a 20 minute brisk walk to the cathedral and main strain station, It is across the street from the chocolate museum and the river. it is quite modern and comfortable and clean with a spacious room and comfy bed and very helpful staff who spoke fluent English. A wonderful place to stay - well recommended.
This is a great hotel within walking distance of the airport. While it does not offer a shuttle, a taxi charges a flat fee of €15 for the short 8-minute ride. The hotel is located in a quiet corner of the airport area and has a small bar with simple food options that are decent. There is an Italian restaurant about a 12-minute walk away and a Chinese restaurant about 8 minutes away on foot. Overall, this is a great choice for a one-night stay near the airport.
Very modern and spacious rooms. Great view from the balcony. The aircon worked great on the day of arrival (35°C outside). It was a relief during the heatwave. A few minor criticisms: Electrical outlets to charge devices are scarce and quite far away from the living/sleeping area. No night stand at the bed (in conjunction with the 1st point), Also, the living and sleeping area was quite dark if the curtains are drawn. An overhead light would have helped a lot. One of the staff was very very arrogant rude he gave me my room card and the room was very dirty not clean so I go back to him he told me we don't have house keeping at the moment and I will offer u new towels I told him what r u saying to stay in a dirty room he reply back don't shout at me then his manger or colleague he apologized to me and give me new room I spent in this hotel 6 night this happend at 08-july-2017 12:07 am .
