Staff was very helpful, friendly, and professional…especially Daniel.
Great value. Wonderful location. Spotless. Modern. Price was right. Will be booking again very soon.
Great stay at Hotel des Balances. Had a lovely balcony room facing the water. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Located in the middle of everything. Highly recommend, pic on the hotel’s balcony.
Fantastic location!! Very clean and well maintained. This hotel has the best included hotel breakfast of any that i’ve ever seen!
I would stay here again!!
The hotel manager and front desk team were incredibly kind and helpful. The hotel is beautifully located right in front of a stunning lake and majestic mountains.
I accidentally left my computer in an Uber, and the hotel manager and team went above and beyond to help me recover it. I truly appreciated their patience, support, and warm hospitality.
I feel so lucky to have stayed at this beautiful hotel, and I will definitely choose it again when I return to visit Lucerne.
WOW I mean the views from this place cannot be beat. You absolutely MUST request a river facing room (you can see the beautiful snow capped mountains of Pilatus on a clear day). It is worth every penny. Additionally, your stay gets your a visitors pass with discounted rates on transport throughout the city. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind as well. We will DEFINITELY be coming back!
A Family Paradise and Culinary Delight: Our Most Satisfied Stay at CHÄRNSMATT!
Our recent stay at CHÄRNSMATT Gasthof & Spielparadies in Rothenburg was nothing short of exceptional and easily one of the most satisfying hotel experiences we've ever had, especially as a family. This isn't just a place to sleep; it's a complete destination that truly understands hospitality and creates joy for all ages.
From the moment we arrived, the warm and genuinely friendly staff made us feel incredibly...
The location is excellent. We walked to the lion monument and to the lake. There were plenty of restaurants and shopping. The room was spacious and because it was on the 5th floor, the views were spectacular.
This is a wonderful historical property that has been recently renovated and is currently in great shape. The room and common areas are tastefully decorated with color and charm, and the fixtures are up to date and modern. It sits on a hillside above the town, but there is a dedicated elevator (furnicular) that leads directly from the street to the property. The views and privacy of the location are amazing, and there is a cozy lobby bar with couches and a 5-star view overlooking the town. ...
The hotel is next to an old church and within the old town. The building is almost 500 years old and the style of hotel decorations and facilities, such as lamps and furniture, are in tune with the ambience. The room has a cute coffee maker.
Hotel Central Lucerne is in the perfect location to walk to the train station, the lake front, old town shopping and restaurants and boat tours! Staff and owner are super friendly and the hotel and rooms are very clean. I highly recommend your stay in Lucerne be at the Hotel Central Lucerne
The room was really spacious and had an awesome lake view. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. They give you a free bus pass to use during your stay. You get on right out front and it takes you to the city center or train station in about 15 minutes. Very easy and convenient. After a day of sightseeing it was nice to come back to our room, make some hot tea, and slip into a cozy robe and slippers. I also thought the price of the room was very reasonable considering how expensive...
Great staff and great location! The only problem I had was the toillet in my room had no door! So if you are not comfortable, make sure to ask from staff!
We asked for a lake view room upon reservation and when we arrived, we were upgraded to a suite with not only a lake view, but a balcony. The accommodations were not only spacious and comfortable, but the room was beautifully appointed with an antique desk and dresser, lovely chandeliers, roomy closets and a double sink bathroom. Details and little touches make this hotel special. We received a bowl of fruit, a handwritten note of welcome, and binoculars to enjoy the spectacular views offered...
Everything was good with the exception of the air conditioner / fan unit. It just wasn't working and we didn't figure that out until midnight. The hotel staff did what they could to try to fix the problem, and it just wasn't something we could fix so late. I appreciated their effort. Breakfast was really amazing, and the room had a great view. Highly recommended, especially if you need parking. Bus comes frequently and is direct, takes only 10 minutes or so.
Hotel is beautiful from outside. Room was not big, but not too small like some in the old town. Switzerland has a great train system. Being right across from the Luzern main train station with buses and trains access to nearby scenery.
