"I'm sure this area used to be nice, but most hotels and restaurants around were boarded up and shut down, so a bit sketchy. The staff was friendly, but overworked. The baseboards on our floor were missing...they were possibly getting ready to replace the carpet...which needed it badly. The air conditioner in our room did not work, but we couldn't use the phone to call and report it, because it didn't work either. They didn't move us to a new room, but the air got fixed in pretty short order....

The lobby was attractive, but dated, as is the rest of the hotel.The morning after heavy rains the upstairs floors were still slightly muddy in places. The counter, toilet, floor and bathtub were all clean. The wall next to the toilet needs to be wiped down and a couple of tiles in the bathroom are loose. Overall a pleasant stay...
