Lovely 19th century villa with fantastic views and wonderful staff. I would stay again for sure, despite being surprised that the split unit AC doesn’t work, only half the windows open, some bathtub tiles were old and appeared moldy, and there seemed to be no real concern about any of it. Still, I’ll pick the same apartment next time, and maybe bring my own large coffee mug and kitchen sponge :-)
The Hotel is like new if not recently completed. The beds were very comfortable with extra pillows that I enjoyed. The breakfast was well stocked with various choices . The coffee and orange juice were delicious and freshly made. Everything about our was perfect. The hotel can be little difficult to find but well worth the effort. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I don’t have anything negative to report. EXCELLENT!
We loved our 1 night stay at this property and wished we could have stayed longer. Located in a quaint small town in a lovely country setting, it was the perfect way to start our travels in Spain. The restaurants in town weren't open the night we were there, but the staff gave excellent recommendations for options in nearby Durango. The staff was well above excellent. I am planning on staying there when I return to visit in the fall of 2025. This time with my family in tow. If you want a quiet hotel near all the coastal towns and Gernika, I highly recomeend it.
We originally only planned to stay one night, but after arriving to the Palacio and seeing our room (vary spacious), we opted to book another night. It was a little drive into Bilbao, but totally worth it for the peaceful location with beautiful views.
The hotel is very nice. I enjoyed the saine and the pool, very relaxing. I didn’t have dinner at their resta But I enjoyed a glass of wine at their deck over the beach any it was nice and very affordable.

The staff was pleasant. The room was basic had everything you needed. Walk in shower bigger than most in Europe. Perfect to spend evening before early flight.
Such a cool place to stay. Not having anyone to talk to was a little weird and the elevator is super slow but the room was incredible. I made some friends at the restaurant/bar right across from this place and took a bus right by here to get to my next city. The train is close by too. 10/10 would recommend and plan to stay here again.
