"This was the second time I stayed at this location. This time I was in a standalone room on the property instead of in one of the rooms on the second floor. The hotel location is fairly simple to get to, located within a gated community where there are at least two guards on duty at all times that check all vehicles going in and out. "Saku Boutique Homestay is a delightful B&B that brings together both Thai and French motifs. We just returned again from a 2 week stay ( we have been there 3 times now) and highly recommend the experience to those desiring a safe, comfortable and charming place in a village just outside of Chiang Mai, without the typical institutional hotel setting. The 3 course breakfasts are amazing!! GRAB (Thai's Uber) are available."

"I wish I could give this place 6 stars, my stay here was fabulous. The garden and pool area is gorgeous, as are the rooms. Thai decor everywhere, just beautiful and unique. The hotel is run by a mother and her son and I felt so well taken care of and so comfortable during my entire stay. Very easy and cheap to get to Chiang Mai center from hotel and so nice to be able to return to this tranquil oasis after a busy day exploring the city."

"The keyword here is Budget. You don’t pay much for this hotel. Lobby and breakfast areas are fine. But the room is in poor condition. It wouldn’t take much just to patch the holes in the ceiling or remove the dust here and there or add a shower curtain. Beware, the bed mattress is very hard. Almost like a gym mattress. Walking distance to 100 bars, 500 restaurants, 100 massage parlours, 25 7-eleven and 1 old city. If you’re on a budget and not planning to spend a lot of time in the room,...
