Hotel Marta was in the perfect location! Walking distance from the train and right near all the restaurants and stores. It was still very quiet in the room at night. The room was small and minimalistic but we didn’t spend much time in the room so it was fine.The staff was very friendly and helpful, they let us check in prior to official time. The breakfast was vegetarian; yogurt, toast, cereals, fruit, etc. I would definitely recommend hotel Marta!

We were very pleased with our 2 night stay in Lucerne at the Cascada. The hotel is a convenient distance from the train station, an easy walk with luggage but far enough away that you can't hear trains. Reception was excellent and was able to get us into our room a couple hours before check-in time. They also were able to put us in a room towards the quiet back side of the building (little to no street noise.) Switzerland uses outlet plugs which are different from anywhere we've been in Europe....

The property is expensive, but in many ways worth it. Always a taxi available. Taxi to airport approx $60 (US currency) each way or you can make your way to the train station (10 min walk). The staff is very helpful and welcoming. Marco greeted us and gave us an excellent introduction to the hotel and facilities.
