This stay truly exceeded my expectations! From the start, the team was incredibly helpful in arranging transportation from Colombo to the camp. Beautiful setting and location. This place is fantastic with a relaxing atmosphere, great service but not overdone, with a sense that you are more of a guest at a home stay. The food is really great and they will help you and your partner celebrate a birthday or other event, but not a place to go and party down if that’s what you want.

Had a great stay that definitely met our expectations. Room was beautiful and comfortable with much needed AC. Perfect, relaxing location with a beautiful pool and beach. The hotel has a newer chef who has upgraded the food which we enjoyed so much we didn’t feel the need to schlep into the busy town. Staff were excellent and made every effort to make our stay comfortable. Food was fresh and delicious. We recommend keeping the spa open till later in the day although we note the concern about wild elephants and safety. Overall a great place and we would love to come back

Lovely property very close to harbor but far enough away to be quiet. The room was comfortable and we had the ocean view version with a great view. Staff very nice and helpful.

This is a beautiful peaceful forest resort nestled in a rural forest like area not too far from Sigiriya fort, Dambulla cave temple and Minneriya national park, which were the three attractions we saw in the area. The resort has a great spread of both international and local options breakfast and dinner buffet on weekdays and lunch buffet too on Fridays and Saturdays. There are multiple activities within walking distance - casino, spa, bar, pool. sea, restaurant, shopping mall, etc. The hotel is self contained and enjoyable by family members of different ages. It is affordable compared to other hotels in Colombo. It is new and well maintained. Staff speak English, friendly, and helpful.

One of the best hotels that my family and I have stayed in. We have used a lot of different hotels throughout the world and Shangri La Colombo ranks one of the best we have stayed in. Even with all the difficulties SL is in now, the hotel staff saw to our comfort without any complaints. I salute the staff and management for their gracious hospitality. Thank you!

Location unbelievable on the beach. Beautiful bay, nice sandy beach. Nice pool. Amazing chef (Brayan) who will cook any fish dish you wish. Very friendly staff. Highly recommend this place.

The location itself is amazing and when you add incredible service, fantastic food and beautiful room , you know you stay in the best hotel in Sri Lanka.. A gem not to be missed for an unforgettable time!
