Great location, attentive staff, and an excellent breakfast buffet with a variety of food and beverages. The property was well maintained, and our children especially enjoyed the pool and other amenities. The only minor drawbacks were that the rooms felt somewhat dated and that we had to follow up several times before the requested extra bed was delivered. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would certainly stay here again.

The first thing I noticed was the courteous and ready to help staff, Taj has large tree covered property with both ocean and city views. I used the buffets styled restaurant offering international food and with more Indian themed food choices. (not surpised there since Taj is an Indian hotel company and at my visit, majority of guest were Indians.

What I liked the most was the view from room. The hotel needs a good renovation. Loved the decore in the room. Needs to be more generous with the towels etc. always some towel is missing. As for the food it was good but all the sambals need attention. The chefs need to learn how to make a good lunumiris, seen sambal etc. Wattalappan fantastic. Oat porridge not ok. Fruit selection ok but no mango. How about some original sinhalese sweets. Kevun, thalaguli, arsmi, kokis kaludodol?
