On our last morning we took a walk and found ourselves at the Gorner Gorge. Highly recommend it to all. Spectacular! There is a small fee to walk the trail through the gorge but it was a highlight as was our 5 Lakes Trail hike with the Matterhorn.

It was my first trip to Zermatt. It is a place with spectacular scenery and a massive ski area. One cool thing is that you can ski to the adjoining Cervinia ski area in Italy for the day. Just make sure you plan your day to get back in time.

A great location for skiing and all outdoor sports year round. Beautiful, very clean town, with no cars other than residents and local taxis, making walking a pleasure. Great restaurants for all tastes, from basic to gourmet dining.

Though they make a point of saying that motor vehicles are not allowed in Zermatt, watch out for the equally dangerous bicycles and hundreds of small electric carts and taxis, all of which assume the road is theirs alone.

Zermatt in early January is beautiful - full of snow and christmas lights still. The views up to the mountains are truly breathtaking. Lots of good bakeries and shops too.

Zermatt was a little expensive even by Swiss standards , but the natural beauty , the skiing , and the restaurants were exquisite.

Fabulous town. Skiing was fun, but the mountain is overated if you are a good skier. It's pretty much the Buttermilk of Europe.

Cute little ski town, truly a one of a kind experience. Seeing the Matterhorn in person was well worth it. Switzerland in general is experience and Zermatt even more so. Since it is a carless city, the taxi fares add up quickly.
"The standard of hotel was exceptional. Excellent assortment of options for breakfast. Rooms immaculate and very spacious. Staff were so friendly and helpful nothing was a problem"
"It was great staying at Beausite! The location was slightly further away from the main town area, but it had great views of the Matterhorn. The heated pool and hay sauna was the best to relax after a day of hiking. The room was spacious and toilet felt luxurious."
"Zermatt was definitely our favorite town. We only wish that we stayed longer. Your location is amazing and extremely convenient to town and the rail system. "
