I adore the downtown part of Staunton. There are lots of lovely shops and food options. Parking can be tough especially on weekends when the main street is shut down. I encourage people to visit the Wilson Library and birthplace. It is wonderful.

We loved Staunton and so much so that we are already planning our next visit in the fall to coincide with a trip to an apple orchard. The Blackfriar Theatre great, enjoyed glassblowing demonstration, crepes for breakfast, enjoyed local bookstore

Lovely little town with many shops I plan to visit in the future. The downtown bakery very cozy. Dining well that is still out for debate as we arrived late and the options were Mexican or burgers. We are hoping to find more later.

We discovered Staunton a couple of years ago as an alternate route off of i-95. The architecture is so interesting and the shops around the hotel are very charming.
