I have been there 18 years ago. So much has changed! It's way more developed right now. I visited Tofino as well but Tofino has become a tourist trap, where Ucluelet has kept its the country vibe and is very serene and tranquil. Terrific trails...

The road area around the property is under construction which made walking difficult but supposed to be finished in July. Recommend Jiggers food truck for fish and chips and thel8cal aquarium

Like a tourist area that kept the original feel. We like this better than Tofino, which has up-scaled everything including prices. This suits us perfectly!

Accommodations are getting pretty tired. Many of the properties in town need rejuvenation.
"Great cabin with a loft, but the ladder was not provided, so the loft was not accessible. Expedia says hot tub available but only select two bedroom cabins have them. Great location close to surfing and long beaches."
"Check in was quick and efficient with a follow up email of the area to assist with our planning.
I really appreciated the text messages, especially the one telling us about the road construction. We enjoyed our stay at the property. "
