The Inn at Stonecliffe is wonderful! All of the staff were friendly and attentive. The renovated facility is stunning, with each room’s decor unique. No detail was spared.
We especially enjoyed talking with George, the manager at General Store, while getting a breakfast sandwich and coffee to go. Loved our stay here!
They were such a nice surprise on the main strip of the Island. Clean. Quiet. AND ... they TMd when the room was ready for check in ... before check in hours.
Our room was very hot due to AC problems and we were upgraded to a wonderful balcony room. We could see the lake from one side and watch Main Street from the other. They also had bike storage available and the breakfast items were extremely fresh.
Nice facility. Great view of the lake. Staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast offerings were good (except for the fruit salad). The breakfast area maybe needs new furniture.
We opted not to stay on the island & found Parkside to be a reasonable price for the accommodations & location. We loved the proximity to the ferry and the park across the street has a lovely view of the bridge. Although we did not a waterview room the view from out our front door was spectacular. I would have to say the complimentary breakfast was nothing to write home about but loved that coffee was available after breakfast was over.
After closing up our airbnb for the season we came up north to get away from everything. The hotel was a welcome retreat from our busy life. The hot tub was perfect after our walk around mackinac island. The ladies at the front desk were super friendly. Overall a fantastic weekend. The room was clean and comfortable. We will be back.
Extremely friendly and helpful staff who truly care about their guests. The pool was under construction at the time of our stay but the staff had many other free options for us to use instead.
I'm so excited we chose to stay here. Not only was the price point solid, but the quality of our stay was wonderful and left us well rested. The bed was super comfortable, showers were hot with great water pressure, it was quiet early in the night even with it on a main road, clean and well cared for, and the location was perfect for getting around. We even ran late and the front desk had a plan in case we missed them to check in. Will absolutely stay again.
We stayed at the Continental Inn for two nights and it was a wonderful experience. Everyone there was very friendly and helpful. It didn't have that plastic feel like a chain hotel. We will definitely stay there again.

Last minute trip up north, booked a few days before we wanted to stay. Only availability for Thursday night, so we had to move to another hotel for the rest of our weekend. We would have loved to stay all three nights here, instead of the comfort inn we ended up at for the rest of the weekend. Bed was comfy, room was clean. Water pressure was great. No frills mom and pop place. Will absolutely stay here again
I’d stay here again. Staff was very friendly, rooms were clean, and they have a continental breakfast included. It has the 100+ year old Victorian look and feel, but with a few modern upgrades such as an elevator, AC, and key cards. Very clean hotel!! Very welcoming, helpful, amd friendly staff!! Housekeeping is TOP NOTCH!! We did not expect our room to be cleaned and new towels provided after our first night, it was such a nice surprise!! The hotel is EXTRA CLEAN!! When we travel to Mackinac Island again - this will be our choice of stay!! Locqtion is really good too, its about 2 min drive to the ferry, free shuttle provided as well.
