Our stay at Te Dalu was exceptional. We loved that the hotel was located a little outside of Ella proper, which allowed for connection with the beautiful environment and scenery while still being convenient to the amenities of the main town. Our room faced the hillside and had a wonderful view of the temple on the hill, and in the morning with opening the balcony doors allowed us to listen to chants and the sounds of birds and monkeys while waking up. This is a beautiful guest house away from the town center, about 5-10 minutes by car. Trigan and the staff were always very helpful. Breakfast was good. It can get cold in this area, so be prepared with jackets just in case

Incredible views from our room at Tunnel Top, overlooking the beautiful valley and the iconic train tracks! The room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable. We also loved that drinks were available for free throughout our stay. The staff were outstanding — super friendly and genuinely accommodating. General manager to junior staff has been truly amazing during our entire stay. Very clean, comfortable place for nature loving people like us. The lunch and breakfast we enjoyed a lot! We sure will come back!

This is a lovely venue and a beautiful town. We had two nights here. The first was in a large family room in the basement, which was a little bit musty. But it was spacious and I appreciated that. The next night we moved upstairs to two large rooms with en suite. They were much more comfortable and lovely views. The breakfast was very nice and generous. The staff were very helpful.

Beautiful property, amazing food and friendly staffs. We enjoyed their food so much, it's probably one of the best hotel meals we've had! We also did cooking class and it was outstanding! Only wished the gym was already done when we visited.

Absolutely stunning property and surroundings! House and rooms are nice and clean but public spaces felt small for the 7 rooms (14 people). It is nice if you are happy to socialize and share space. Staff was amazing and accommodating - food was good, not amazing - a little hit or miss. We didn’t have the full board / all inclusive like others and I felt like the prices were high for Sri Lanka.
