Tru By Hilton Bracebridge, On
10/10 Excellent
"This hotel had everything we wanted. Our room was quiet and well appointed. The breakfast was good with both hot and cold items available. We really liked that there was access to a common area 24 hours a day that a microwave, simple food items and confections to purchase, games, reading or visiting spaces, and a coffee bar! Although we didn’t use the gym or the pool, these spaces were well thought out and had towels available. The hotel is also situated a short walking distance to some restaurants and shopping."
"Although all the utensils/equipment were included in the kitchen, it would have been a nice gesture to have coffee/tea available, before we had to travel back on the highway in search of a coffee shop."
"We chose Sherwood Inn as it was close to a number of smaller towns we wanted to visit. The older design and setting of the inn is a charm on its own; and everything was well managed and running well.
The rooms are a bit dated, but very comfortable and had everything needed for a weekend stay. The breakfast buffet is excellent value for money, covering all the options on most breakfast menus; and the bar has great range supported by an excellent bartender.
We did hike the trails on the property, which had great views of Lake Joseph and the forests. The trails themselves are poorly marked and the map provided by the reception is woefully out of sync with the actual trails on the ground. "
