Mödling District Hotels

An excellent option if you have a rental car and use as a hub. Metro station is 15 minutes away and can use the park and ride garage, alternately you can drive into Vienna in about 30 minutes but risk hitting traffic and paying more for parking. Food at the hotel was real good.

Spacious room, clean

It is a very nice stay and meet my expectations.

Liked the room, the staff and the entire facility.

Beautiful hotel ,just south of Vienna, with really easy access to the city by taxi (although a little pricey) or by bus to the underground metro ,which is quite cheap & a great experience ! The Karl-Wirt rooms were spotless & the beds extemely comfortable. Breakfast was buffet style but had an enormous array of choice .It had its own restaurant next door with very friendly waiters who were very helpful. The food ,delicious too ! We will definitely stay here again.

The pool was very unique and pretty. Unfortunately we didn't have a long enough stay to use it. If we ever spend time near Vienna, we'd definitely go back there. It is easy to get to from the highway and the train station was a short walk from the hotel and it went straight to downtown Vienna.

the room was clean it was easy to check in and check out. the shopping mall is really close and also there is a station for easy access in vienna. this hotel was a perfect choice

Hotel is all white super-clean with everything looking pristine. Room is somewhat spartan - TV and hairdryer provided - but beds comfortable, nice rain-type shower and the hot water is really hot. A note for US visitors - as with almost all small hotels in the cooler parts of Europe there is no air conditioning. Fine for most of the year but can be uncomfortable in a heat wave. Desk fan is provided. Breakfast room clean and spacious but operates week days only. Restaurants and supermarket...

Wonderful hotel, great breakfast, ideal location, friendly staff.

We truly enjoyed our stay. The room was beautiful, tastefully decorated and comfortable. The hotel was recently renovated in April 2026 and everything was spotless. The location was exceptional. It’s in the heart of the Neubau neighborhood close to lots of restaurants, coffee shops and stores yet the street the hotel is on is a pedestrian cobble stone one with beautiful planters full of herbs and lavander plants. Housekeeping was impecable. Every time they left the room spotless. The staff were...

We enjoyed our stay at The Companion hotel! The rooms are small, but designed well so that you still feel like you have plenty of space for storage and separation of bathroom ammenities. The gentlemen at the front desk were super friendly and helpful in giving recommendations. There is a great restaurant and bar located at the property and it is also conveniently located to the train station, making it easily accessible to everywhere in Vienna. Overall, this hotel is a great value!

Loved staying here! The location was good for us -- we enjoy walking, and were able to walk nearly everywhere we wanted to go. There are restaurants close by. The complimentary spa was AMAZING!!!! We reserved the spa for 10:00 in the evening -- perfect end to a day full of walking. It was about a 10 minute walk from the subway station to the hotel. The staff was very, very accommodating. The breakfast was very impressive and very good. Absolutely would recommend this hotel. The room...

Very pleased with the selection. Rooms are beautifully decorated with the feel of old Vienna.

Wonderful staff and breakfast. Room was comfortable and had all the necessary amenities! Easy to get there with the metro...you literally come up out of the subway and arrive at the hotel. Very cool views of St Stephens church and the delightful Christmas market!

The hotel was fantastic, breakfast was amazing and it was in a quieter part of town close to public transit.

Excellent staff, food, room, and fellow guests. Very gracious.

Chose the hotel due to its convenient location between the Hauptbahnhof and the Ring. Though a tiny bit dated (with some recent upgrades) it exceeded expectations; especially the level of attention and care from the staff. We needed to get antigen tests prior to our flight back to the States and were pointed by one gentleman at the front desk to a location near city hall where we could get them on the spot and for free. The breakfast was bountiful and the room, though small, was quite...
