Beautiful property and very friendly staff

Winíka Alterra is a small, family owned hotel and resort. The property consists of eleven private cabins. They’re very well maintained and with all the amenities. The staff is very helpful, accommodating, and detailed oriented. All the meals were delicious, fresh, and locally sourced-made from ingredients found at the hotel’s on site farm. El hotel es excelente, limpio, bonito, el personal igual muy bien. El único problema es la ubicación para ir al centro, a la zona arqueológica o al lugar que quieras hay que tomar taxi y no ban de 300 pesos

Truly an experience I will Never forget. The ruins in Palenque were something that I will never forget. The hotel is quiet, nice, has a pool and they were very accommodating and helpful. Great dining options within walking distance. I will be staying here again if I go back to Palenque.

To be sincere with review, we need to notice that is not a city hotel, is branded as an ecofriendly hotel at jungle. For that this is a great hotel. At pool you are surrounded by Big mango trees, were you can watch guacamayas, parakeets, monkeys, hummingbirs, squirrels. Gardens are clean until some mango fall or squirrel eats some nuts. Rooms have good views, cold air for hot & humid weather, Restaurant have small options but good flavor and clean installations.

The hotel is located in a clean and quiet part of Palenque. The main bus station is an easy 2 blocks away. To get to the ruins, Taxis are at the door and even cheaper "collectivos" are about 3 blocks away. A good choice of restaurants is a few minutes stroll from the hotel. We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Mercedes Palenque. The rooms were comfortable and the ambiance was quite pleasant. There were 10 of is in 4 rooms so not all rooms were in the same bungalow, but it was ok. We enjoyed the jungle sounds in the morning and had the fantastic opportunity of watching a flock of parrots chattering in a tree and even watched them fly around. Never knew how much noise they make! That said, please keep in mind that you are in a rain forest and you may have a critter...

Great breakfast, resturant and bar that served drink to pool. A/C worked well in both shared room and family room.

Loved our stay here. We stayed 2 nights here. Got a massage! Enjoyed watching the monkeys and iguanas in their backyard! Also enjoyed a dip in the pool when we arrived at 10 pm. After sightseeing all day.
