Liestal District Hotels

The hotel was very nice, located in central Basel. The only downside was that it, apparently like other recently renovated hotels, did not have air conditioning (and it was unseasonably hot in Basel.

Easy to park on the street, quiet location. Room is comfortable and clean. The door is very solid and safe.

Hotel Spalentor offers a wonderful, well run place to stay in a perfect location for access to the old town or to get to the train station. Old school kind of place wheree they give you a physical key for your room but everything is clean as a whistle.

Beautiful hotel with nice amenities such as the breakfast and free mini bar. Staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. Location is very convenient for the train station but also an easy walk to attractions. I highly recomment.

This was an amazing place, beautiful hotel, beautiful rooms, comfortable beds, clean and tidy. The view from the balcony of the restaurant was amazing. The only thing was that the breakfast was nothing fancy. Other than that, 10/10.

Excellent overnight stay. Transit to town right out the front door! Very convenient. Great breakfast and bar/lounge. The use of the guest laundry was nice to have but did not like the hassle of using an app instead of just paying by cc at each machine.

If staying in Basel, I highly recommend the Hotel Schweizerhof. It is conveniently located one block from the Central Train Station, making our day trip to Lucerne very easy. And it is across the street from the local trams, which makes getting to the old town, or anywhere in the city, very easy. I love that staying in any hotel in Basel gives you a free public transportation ticket for the duration of your stay. It even included our bus trip to the airport. The breakfast buffet was very good...

The most efficient use of space ever in a hotel room. U.S. hotels should learn from these guys. Best bathtub...narrow and deep, perfect for soaking after a hard day of travel. Very clean, modern and welcoming room. Two entrances into bathroom, perfect if spouse sleeps in and you get up early. Very well appointed room. The staff was incredibly helpful as well. Had problems logging into website and the desk clerk came up personally to our room to help. Just an incredible experience for a...
