Wellawaya Hotels

General manager to junior staff has been truly amazing during our entire stay. Very clean, comfortable place for nature loving people like us. The lunch and breakfast we enjoyed a lot! We sure will come back!

The hotel middle of the forest above the mountain with peace and amazing view and a 15minute to walk to the temple ....with great foods and staff , Since we arrived until we left Sahiru answered alll our questions helped us with a smile he is amazing ... The hotel should be among the city's attractions in the middle of

Ecocubes + Very homey place, in the middle of the jungle, with an unexpected design for sri langa - containers trasformed in cool and hippie rooms & a very cozy tree house. The accommodation is very safe, however keep in mind that you are in the middle of nature so geekos could appear in your room (they did in ours:). The experience wouldn’t be complete without the owner- Mr Upali. He is a very friendly person, always ready to help you and a great conversation partner. On top, he cooks...

Amazing view, very close to restaurants and pubs in the town

Incredible views from our room at Tunnel Top, overlooking the beautiful valley and the iconic train tracks! The room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable. We also loved that drinks were available for free throughout our stay. The staff were outstanding — super friendly and genuinely accommodating. They made us drinks, helped carry our luggage up the stairs, and even arranged tuk tuk transportation into Ella for us. Their warm hospitality made our stay even better. What really sealed the...

My accommodation was great and the view was breathtaking. I had a relaxing night at a beautiful property with excellent staff. Breakfast was also wonderful.

This place is incredible! We were a little worried when our driver initially dropped us off with our bags at the bottom of the steep road and said the road was too tight for the minivan to get through. We walked a little further than we should have, but we found the hotel and as we were escorted to our room our mouths dropped. The room is incredible! We were 3 people, but this place was clearly meant for 6. Two king beds on either side of a little staircase that took you up to 2 single beds...

Beautiful lake view and walkable to main attractions. Most friendly staff.

Great guesthouse with a wonderful host. We stayed 2 nights. Room was simple but had all you needed. The breakfast made by Cynthia both mornings was the highlight of our stay. Easy walk into town. Thank you for your hospitality.

Absolutely stunning property and surroundings! House and rooms are nice and clean but public spaces felt small for the 7 rooms (14 people). It is nice if you are happy to socialize and share space. Staff was amazing and accommodating - food was good, not amazing - a little hit or miss. We didn’t have the full board / all inclusive like others and I felt like the prices were high for Sri Lanka. Menu was more accommodating to the full board. This is a remote location so plan to be spending most...

Our stay at Te Dalu was exceptional. We loved that the hotel was located a little outside of Ella proper, which allowed for connection with the beautiful environment and scenery while still being convenient to the amenities of the main town. Our room faced the hillside and had a wonderful view of the temple on the hill, and in the morning with opening the balcony doors allowed us to listen to chants and the sounds of birds and monkeys while waking up. The hotel itself has lovely, large rooms and...

This is a piece of paradise! No way to describe how much we loved it. It’s tucked away in the jungle but you arrive to luxurious cabin surrounded by nature. From the fresh squeezed juice upon arrival to the magnificent dinner and an unbelievable sunset over the lake it was perfect! They made us feel like royalty. The nicest young men and the absolute best food in the entire country!!!

Rating is based on the fact it is a camp. The staff is great, really friendly and take good care of you. They helped with anything we needed. It is a bit hard to find, but they met us on the road and brought us to the camp site. The location is well kept. Since it is a camp, there are bugs, there are reptiles, but the staff do their best to keep them out of your way. The breakfast was great and very peaceful.

We didn't expect much given we were a last minute booking but the service was just over and above anything we could have expected. The check-in service

A delightful bit of "glamping" right next to the treasure of Yala Park. The "rooms" are comfortable and even air conditioned. The food was excellent, especially the breakfast served on a raised tower overlooking the park.
