A lovely place! Because of other travel plans, after a week we moved to a Marriott in the center of things (at twice the price) and I regret the need! The Downtown Apartments room was superior by every measure from bed comfort to television to WiFi to thermostat--on and on, everything was top-flight. A wonderfully comfortable, crisp and contemporary hotel—easily accessible to everything in Berlin by virtue of its location near the main train station….also via a pleasant walk along the banks of the Spree River into the heart of Mitte. Value, style, and practicality make this hotel a new favorite for me.

Very convenient hotel for access to main train station and for walking the major tourist sites around Berlin center. Room initially was st up for one person (comforter on Queen bed the size of twin and only 1 bath towel) - contacted the maid and she lterally ran to get us another comforter and extra towels. Nice bar area and courtyard sitting area. Breakfast was a little steep so we didn't partake but all you need is across the street at the train station... Huge mall there...

Beautiful and clean room, good location and good price

I really enjoyed my stay here - it was only one night of my trip and I wished I had booked it for longer. I had a river view room, and it was probably one of my favorite hotel rooms and views I have ever had. The hotel staff was very helpful (and spoke excellent English as my German is lacking). The bed was comfortable, curtains blocked light well, and it was very quiet. My only confusion was that the master switch for the electricity was a big red switch on the wall that I was afraid might be...

We stayed at Hotel am Steinplatz for a week. The Hotel is great, great location, Great Breakfast, restaurant and Bar. The staff are very helpful and they were always ready to help us with anything we needed. The Hotel itself has a great story and it's where most of the famous German actors were staying and had their parties. The staff were very customer oriented and helpful. The hotel location is the most comfortable and easy to go around the city of Berlin as it is walking distance to the Berlin Train Central Station. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Berlin.

The hotel, staff, and room were excellent. There are few restaurants in the area with the exception of a restaurant/beer garden about 3 blocks away.

Beautiful hotel in a wonderful location right by the Brandenburg gates

Very clean, excellent location. Amazing breakfast buffet. They were able to give us early check in and after 9hrs flight it was greatly appreciated. Wish there was extra pillows but i didn’t ask for more. There was an extra one in the wardrobe but no pillow case. I Would stay again.

Large room and bathroom. Dinning room in seventh floor with large view, serving rich selection breakfast and 24 hours sandwiches and drinks !free of charge. What I miss in the room: working table, wardrobe for close storage and functional light in bathroom.

Very nicely appointed studio apartment with a lot of space. Location is central with quick access to the U and S trains at Potsdamer Platz. Excellent location for the Philharmonie and Kulturforum.
